It’s been a few days since I’ve been able to post due to having a stand at the first ever Auckland Papercraft Show. It was fabulous! I really appreciate everyone who stopped by, said hello, made a make and take, and did a bit of shopping. We really appreciate your support. It’s you who keeps us in business!
Today’s share is a simple, but WoW fun fold card (the best kind). For this sample, I’ve used the Unbounded Beauty suite of products to embellish:
I really like this color combination of Petunia Pop and Summer Splash – it’s very vibrant, yet still pretty. I like to tone down the colors with white, but then a bit of black really sharpens things up!
For the card front, I used mostly all white, embossed with the Dashing Designs folder. In hindsight, I might have added a bit of color to the side panels. Next time!
The tall die cut from Flowers of Beauty die set looks great all on its own. I inked up a piece of Basic White with Petunia Pop, then just cut the die shape from the inked panel for an image that has a lot of shading variation.
When you open the card, there is a lot of color from the Unbounded Beauty paper pack, like a fabulous lining on a sensible jacket. You don’t want to add too many layers here, or the card won’t close nicely. so keep the inside pieces pretty flat.
