Sympathy cards are always a little hard to make, especially if you are not feeling happy! It’s a really good idea to have a few of these on hand for when those moments come.
I’ve chosen to use the Beautiful You stamp set. This image with the woman and the umbrella is quite sweet for a sympathy card without being too much of a downer:
I’ve stamped this young woman in Staz-On on Watercolor Paper, then painted her up with our Classic ink pads and an Aqua Painter.
I’ve just fallen in love with the Very Versailles stamp set – a great one to mix in with your others or use on its own. I masked the young woman and stamped the leaves over top, just to add a bit of something to the background.
As mentioned above, it’s good to have a few of these on hand. So while making one, I thought I may as well make a few more.
On these, I stamped over the girl with the script stamp image. I also played around with the colours, as you can see.
Tip: Blushing Bride watered right down makes a good Caucasian skin colour. Mix in a bit of Crumb Cake to make more tan or more brown skin tones.
I added a bit of the Fine Tip Glue to the umbrellas to add a little texture. I also cut around the girl in this sample with the stitched rectangles and then just placed the piece back in. I was trying a few things to see what I liked best with these. Turns out, I like them all!
Supply list below so you can make these, too! Thanks for stopping by!
