Sunflower Embossing Folder - Cut Out! - Stamp Happy, Jacque Williams, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

Today’s share is a clean and simple project with the new Sunflower Embossing Folder, this time with one of the sunflower images cut out for a 3-D effect.

I inked up the flower with both Pecan Pie and Darling Duckling inks for a more traditional sunflower look. There’s just something about sunflowers that make most people smile. Perhaps because they are so big and robust, or maybe because many of us grew one or two in our childhoods.

I also used the Sunflower Embossing Folder for a simple white-on-white background, which I think is a nice complement to the one colored flower. I also chose Cloud Cover ribbon, even though there’s no other Cloud Cover in the project . . . I just like this shade of blue against the yellow.

The Muted Palette Dots (the embellishments) are my current favorite. I just like that they aren’t sparkly, nor are they particularly bright. They seem “just right” for a lot of projects.
