I had a lot of fun making these adorable little Christmas trees with the new Sprig Punch! This project was on display after a presentation on the recent Stampin’ Up! Alaskan Cruise, and I knew right away I wanted to make these up as an appreciation gift for my team leaders during our annual dinner:
I used the Sprig Punch with the Shaded Spruce cardstock and the Shaded Spruce Glimmer paper for a more traditional tree.
I knew I was going to run a bit short on the Glimmer Paper, so I made up a couple of white and copper trees, entirely with Glimmer Paper. Honestly, I think these are just as nice! Fresh and fun!
The little trunks are just cuts from a branch from the yard. Husband did this and then drilled a little hole for the skewer. I decided to not clean or do anything to the wood; I quite liked the imperfections.
I made a little grove of these on the dining room table for our dinner, and they did look pretty darn cute! I can imagine these would be darling on a Christmas table, one for each guest to take home or for you to keep and pull out each year.

Hi Jacque, These are so stinking cute. I would love to know a couple of things.
1. How did you keep the branches from sliding together? Did you pre-punch a hole in the sprig before sliding it down the skewer?
2. Approximately how many sprigs are on your trees?
I would love to do these for my downline… I would give you credit of course…
Thank you so much!!

Hi Debbie – yes you need a hole in the sprig before pushing it on the skewer. And there are 40 sprigs on each tree. You could do more or less, of course. Have fun with this! 🙂

No worries! I’ll leave it. i just added the tutorial this morning after many people asking for one. There will be those who can work it out on their own, too. 🙂

Thank you for the awesome tutorial, Jacque. One quick question: How tall is your skewer?
jacque Williams says
It’s about 3.5 to 4 inches tall. My skewers were longer, so I just cut them with a sturdy pair of scissors. But of course, you can make them shorter or taller. Just add more layers of leaves.
