Rooted in Nature – Colour Inkspiration #35
Welcome to Colour Challenge #35 with the Colour Inkspiration Crew! This fortnight you can pick up to three colours from the 10 colours in the Neutrals Collection:
(Stampin’ Up! ® has just had a major colour revamp so to start off the new catalogue year at Colour INKspiration we’ve decided to feature a Colour Collection for the first challenge each month (2nd Wednesday) until we have showcased them all! The second challenge in the month (4th Wednesday) will be a Pinterest inspired pic as per usual just to mix it up a bit. This month we are starting off with the NEUTRALS COLLECTION and you can choose any 3 colours from that range for your challenge project. We are also changing the rules about what else you can add to the mix; essentially just the Basics – Whisper White, Very Vanilla and Basic Black as well as metallics.)
I chose to use the new Rooted in Nature bundle and paired that up with Mossy Meadow, Early Espresso, and Crumb Cake:
I wanted to keep this card in my favorite “clean vintage” style, with lots of little details. This card is suitable for any gender and nearly any occasion. (The inside reads “Be Happy, Be You”.
It’s easy to make copper coloured accents by using the Bronze Stampin’ Blend markers. I’ve shared with my class attendees that even if they don’t intend to buy all the Blends, the Bronze one is a good one to get to create neutral coloured embellishments. Now these otherwise white pearls tie in nicely with the copper leaf in the other corner.
A subtle details is the leaf embossing. The die set comes with three embossing dies, which are designed not to cut, but just to create impressions.
