Today’s share is one of the four great projects I taught at the “Using Your Patterned Paper Scraps” class at the recent Auckland Papercraft Show. I really enjoyed teaching this class; everyone got creative with their pieces and everyone’s project was a little bit different.
If you’re like me, you end up with a LOT of little strips of pretty papers left over after making cards and scrapbooking pages. Try this fun (and easy) piecing technique to use those strips to create a fabulous background!
I used the Simply Zinnia patterned papers for this background. And, as you can see, changing up which prints you use really changes the end result.
I accented with a little black to make those bright colors really pop.
And one of my favorites right now are these fantastic Zinnia Dies. I love this 3D effect. I selected colors to match the papers, but check out this completely different color combination here.
