Today’s share is a simple design, but so effective with the simple technique of using an embossing folder on vellum. Did you know that when vellum is embossed (and stretched), it turns white?
Simple emboss a piece of vellum (cardstock weight is best for this technique) and carefully adhere to white or colored cardstock for the embossed image to really pop.
Vellum is translucent, so many adhesives tend to show through. When using vellum, use a particular vellum adhesive or place adhesive so it won’t show. I have found the Stampin’ Seal to work pretty well and is not too visible under vellum when used in small amounts.
Pool Party paired with the new Moody Mauve is a favorite color combo for me at the moment. I like this splash of contrasting color across the card with the Sending Smiles dies. I’d like more dies like this, please! (putting it out there!)
