Pro Tip: When you’re building a scene with die-cut trees (or any repeated shape), try cutting them from different shades of green cardstock. Layering slightly varied tones gives your forest a more natural, dimensional look—without any extra effort.

You can also mix in a few trees popped up on Dimensionals to create even more depth. Perfect for turning a clean and simple design into something eye-catching!

Things You Might Not Know About Being a Stampin’ Things You Might Not Know About Being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Part 4

When I first started my Stampin’ Up! journey back in 2007, I was shy, uncertain, and definitely not brimming with confidence.

When I opened the demonstrator paperwork and saw the section about earning the annual Incentive Trip, I skipped right past it, thinking, “That’s for other people. People like me could never get something like that.”

It wasn’t even on my radar.

But here’s what I’ve learned since then: I am capable — and so are you.

These days, I have the confidence to take on any goal I set for myself. And even if I don’t hit it the first time, I know I can get there if I keep at it.

After a painful divorce, I found myself questioning whether I still had anything to offer. Would people still like me without a partner to fill in the gaps?

What I discovered is that I didn’t need to change who I was — I just needed to find my people.

And Stampin’ Up! led me right to them: creative, generous, big-hearted people who love to make things for others. People who find joy in crafting, giving, and sharing — who make cards to comfort, scrapbook to remember, and show up for each other with kindness and laughter.

They are, quite simply, fabulous people.

Things You Might Not Know About Being a Stampin’ Things You Might Not Know About Being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Part 3

One thing many people don’t realize when they first join Stampin’ Up! is just how much freedom comes with it.

And I mean that in two ways:

First — freedom in how you run your business.

As long as you follow a few simple guidelines, you can shape your demonstratorship however it fits your life. You might run in-person events, go fully online, sell classes through the mail, or simply buy for yourself at a discount and enjoy the perks. You can choose to do the minimum to stay active — or go all in and build something bigger. It’s entirely up to you.

Second — freedom in how it fits around your life.

When I started, I had three small children. Hosting classes at home wasn’t always ideal, so getting out for some adult conversation was a treat. As they got older and we became a two-household family, I could plan events for the weeks the girls weren’t with me. Now that they’re grown and have homes of their own, I’ve added more to my calendar again — and I know that one day, when grandkids come along, I can adjust once more.
Stampin’ Up! has always fit around my life — not the other way around.

It’s given me the freedom to make it big or small, to work more or less, and to shift with the seasons of my family and my life.

Things You Might Not Know About Being a Stampin’ Things You Might Not Know About Being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Part 2

When I first became a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator back in 2007, my goal was simple: earn enough to cover my crafting supplies and maybe a little extra for the things our family budget didn’t stretch to.

My main motivation? Laser hair removal on the dreaded female mustache. (Let’s be real — a girl’s gotta have priorities.)

It was a small goal, but it kept me going.

Not long after that, life took a sharp turn. My marriage finished unravelling, and suddenly I was on my own with three small children and a mortgage. Stampin’ Up! became more than just a creative outlet — it gave me confidence, purpose, and a way forward. It reminded me that I didn’t have to stay in a situation that wasn’t right for me — and that I could build something of my own.

Many people don’t realize how empowering it can be to have an option — especially if you didn’t finish school or don’t have formal work experience. Being part of Stampin’ Up! gave me exactly that: choices.

A choice to stay or go.
A choice to return to traditional work — or not.
A choice to make this business as big or as small as I want it to be.

If this sounds like a good fit for you, or you just want to learn more, send me a message or read more about the opportunity here: www.stamphappy.co.nz/jointhefun

Things You Might Not Know About Being a Stampin’ Things You Might Not Know About Being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Part 1

When I first moved to New Zealand, I didn’t know a single soul (besides my three small daughters and husband). It was lonely and scary. Joining Stampin’ Up! gave me something meaningful to share — and a reason to leave the house. Holding classes brought people in, and to this day, one of my greatest joys is watching two strangers meet at a class and leave as friends.

Joining my team isn’t just about stamps and cardstock — it’s about joining a community of like-minded crafters. Not only here in New Zealand, but at regional and worldwide events, and in the global online Stampin’ Up! family. You’ll meet people just like you — joining for the same reasons, at the same stage of their demonstratorship — and others who’ll spark brand-new ideas and inspiration.

Over time, my customers became friends, my team became friends, and now I have dear friends all over the world I never would’ve met otherwise. Without Stampin’ Up!, my world would be smaller, quieter, and far less colourful.

I also host optional team events — crafting days, social get-togethers, weekend retreats, and online gatherings — on top of everything Stampin’ Up! already offers. It’s a big, friendly, creative community that keeps growing, and I’m so grateful to be part of it.

More than just a hobby — it’s a community.

If you’re looking for friendship, purpose, or a way to make a difference through creativity, come join me in sharing the joy of crafting with others.
