One Layer Hydrangea Haven Cards & Stitched with Whimsy
Today’s share is a card I made way back in February with the gorgeous Hydrangea Haven bundle. Hydrangeas are probably my third favorite flower; I have three bushes of them in my garden. Or what somewhat passes for a garden anyway.

The Pool Party version is very similar to a sample done by Janet Wakeland. The Crumb Cake is my variation on the theme, oriented a different way and completely different colors.
I like both equally! It’s great when one can make such different looking projects with essentially the same components.

If you have one, don’t forget to use your Whisper White Ink Pad to add some highlights to dark cardstock. It really brings out the fabulous dimension in these dies!
Even a simple design looks even better with the Stitched with Whimsy dies around the edge! I love these dies so much; they add just that bit more interest to even a one layer card. Try them out by ordering the kits below!

And another version of this card: this time I’ve used that wonderful brick print from the In Good Taste papers. There’s just a slight tinge of pink in the bricks, so the Petal Pink hydrangea was just the right color to tone in while still providing contrast.
