Hi friends! I hope you had a wonderful, relaxing Easter weekend whilst celebrating the season. I know Easter is over and gone, but I wanted to share with you anyway what I did with a few of the Mini Egg Cartons for our Easter table:
We had four women and four men attending, so I made four like this using the Strength and Prayers stamp set. I have always loved this dove and regret not finding use for it earlier in the year! What a beauty for Christmas, too.
Inside the box I stamped the scripture that comes with the set, embossed in Copper. I’m one who tends to be a little more private about my religious feelings, but the inside of a box felt comfortable. And isn’t it nice to open a box and find that little bit more – a bit of colour, printed paper, a saying, or anything a wee bit unexpected.
After copper embossing the dove, I added just a whisp of the Watermelon Wonder to give the bird a bit of coordinating colour. The leaves are from the gorgeous Flouishes die set.
We had four male guests, and I decided a pink bird might not appeal to them so much. So they got this bird instead! I’ve used the goose here from the Wetlands stamp set, added a bit of colour with an Aquapainter and our Classic Inks, and adhered him to a simple background. I just used strips of the Urban District paper and the coordinating Washi Tape.
Sadly, almost everything I chose to use on these projects is being discontinued! The discontinued list will run through the end of May or while supplies last. If you haven’t already checked it out, you can do so HERE. (Plus grab some great discounts and bargain, too!)
Thanks for stopping by,
P.S. Would you enjoy coming to a class for some “time out”? Please join us!
