They are easy to miss in the Mini Catalogue, so I wanted to highlight the fantastic Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks today. Masks are so fun, and remind me of using stencils on the walls back in the 80’s.
My project is inspired by three or four different cards I found on Pinterest, and I combined the elements I liked in each of them to create this rustic bouquet of “sunflowers”.
Each time I made this, the colours work out differently, but I like the pink-copper color of these ones quite a lot. They are a combination of Moody Mauve, Copper Clay, and possibly a bit of Cherry Cobbler.
I tried another version on a Petal Pink card base, more similar to a gorgeous sample by the talented Maheswari Rajaguru (she does amazing work). I also really liked her base with the Distressed Tile embossing folder, a gorgeous folder I reach for over and over again.
One fun thing to do with the masks is to spritz right through the mask with isopropyl alcohol, a shimmer spray, water, or other medium to give some texture to the ink. I LOVE this effect.
