“I’m so Grateful There’s You in the world” . . is such a nice stamp. And perfect for any guy, any age. I think I want to use this one on a scrapbook layout, too, and soon!
I wanted to make a masculine project for my Birkenhead stamp class last night in preparation for Father’s Day in a few weeks in this part of the world. I went to the Mojo Monday blog for a sketch to get me started:
And wanted to use Washi Tape, so this is what I came up with:
I’ve used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set on the background here, using the “scratch” image both directions to form a crosshatch. Reminds me of an old piece of wood.
Well I tried about 12 different backgrounds for these words and finally settled on the Soft Suede CoreDinations cardstock for a soft, weathered look. I can’t get enough of this product!!
And finally the Washi Tape came last, which was what I wanted to use in the first place. 🙂 Was just the right thing to visually anchor that background paper down. And I used a bit on the inside of the card as well:
The papers are all from the Epic Day Designer Series Papers, one of my favorites this year. Combining “soft” colours with vintage has always had appeal! And don’t forget the papers are Buy 3 Get 1 Free, too!
And did you notice the Sneak Peek product on this one? To be revealed Sept 1st in our new Seasonal Catalogue!

I love how you get so many layers yet still make it look uncluttered. Great inspiration.
