Welcome to another Grand Vacation Blog Hop! You may have just come from the lovely Linda Higgins or started the hop here – I know you will enjoy all the wonderful projects the team has prepared for you today.
Our theme is Remember to Give Thanks, and I’ve chosen to use the Thankful Forest Friends stamp set:
These little notebooks were a gift I made for my Leadership Team Training we had a couple of weekends ago. Not only do I want to train and support them, but I also want them to know that I really am thankful they have each chosen to be on my team.
Each leader was given a notebook and a matching pen on her dinner plate before we had a nice, homemade meal together.
The wooden embellishments are from the Watercolor Wishes Kit – there are many leftover even when the kit is all made up!
Paired with the Farmer’s Market Designer Series Papers, it all makes for a cozy project.
Altering something rather ordinary, such as a can or a notebook, is one of my favorite projects to do!
Tips:
~ Use the Stampin’ Write Markers to ink up the image for a multi-colored image. This is a great way to get an image that ties all the colours together perfectly.
~ Use the Project Life Corner Rounder to match the notebook corners
~ Tying a knot around the spines is a nice way to use up little bits of ribbon!
~ Create the black mat for the Chalk Talk Framelits by using the Scallop Tag Topper punch on both sides. It’s not a perfect match, but I like a bit of quirky, too.
Thanks for reading and enjoy the rest of your blog hop; next to Dena Rekow!
