Hello stamping and scrapbooking friends! Today’s share is a double layout I taught in my June scrapbooking classes, but I hope even those who do cards might find a few little ideas here, too!
I don’t normally use a lot of black in my layouts, but these papers are just so sophisticated in their black . . . so I used very “light” photos to help balance it all out.
These gorgeous magnolias are taking the internet by storm, and they are quite striking. And so easy! Simply cut three solid pieces and adhere them together. You may wish to curl up the petals a bit with a bone folder. And these dies come discounted in a bundle with the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set (see supply list below).
The dies also include this sweet border, which I’ve used here to top the journalling piece, topped with a bit of the coordinating ribbon.
I started with this main layout that has a fair bit of detail and layers. These days, my classes prefer doing a double layout, which they can then use as a double spread or two singles, as they prefer and their photos fit in best. I believe my original inspiration came from a layout sketch on Pinterest.
So I created this second page with a more simple design, but all coordinating with the same elements.
