Hello stamping friends! I hope you’re having a wonderful, inspirational day today! Today’s share is part of the Global Video Hop; I hope you enjoy our videos! This round, we are sharing some of our favorite things in the new Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalogue.
I chose the Valentine Keepsakes stamp set, paired with the Stitched with Whimsy Dies as my two favorites:
I chose these two, not only because I do like them, but because they might be ones that don’t jump out when you’re perusing the catalogue. Oh they are so stinkin’ cute, though. I just love stitching, and those stitching lines are perfect with a cute image.
Another favorite thing are the blending brushes. I think we’ll see a big trend in using these! Never before have I been able to add such a soft swish of color like this. LOVE!
How to Use Blending Brushes to Add a Soft Background
- Ink Up the Brush
Ink up gently and lightly if you want a soft background
- Lightly tap some ink off onto a scrap piece of paper
This is just to remove any intense ink saturation from the tips of the bristles
- Gently brush the ink onto your project with a circular motion
Use gentle pressure, gradually increasing until you get the intensity you want
- Repeat until you are happy with the effect.
The Paper Blooms printed papers are a FREEBIE when you spend $110 NZD with me during January or February 2021. I find these quite happy and fun to work with. I’ll show you the whole pack in the video below.
