Flowering Desert Note Cards or Gift Cards

It’s been a wonderful summer at my house, and we are starting to get back into routines now! Today’s share is some quick, simple ideas with the Flowering Desert stamp set.

Most of us need a little note to tuck into a gift, with flowers, or a package or even just somewhere nice to write a little note of thanks or encouragement.  Try this cute notecards – great to have something like this on hand:

I just used the ink pads that were out on my workspace at the time – it’s easy to just put some colours together with these cute cactus images.

I’ve used the Memories and More Note Cards here; they are sort of hiding in the catalogue on the Memories and More page, rather than with the other note cards and envelopes.  They are sized to fit the 4×3 Memories & More cards, so they are a little more square for something different.

 

 

I kept the embellishments simple with just a few enamel dots and a single layer of Linen Thread. These would be cute packaged up as a gift themselves!

One thing I love about these cactus images, besides the versatility with colour, is they are pretty gender and age neutral! Use them for just about any card you need to make.

On these, I used the Night of Navy enamel dots and the Night of Navy Twine for the fold.  Navy is just about always a perfect contrast to the more bright or subtle colours.
