Easy Sunburst Background Card Idea with a Camera Theme
If you’re looking for a creative and striking card idea, this sunburst background technique creates a fun camera shutter effect using the Capturing Smiles stamps and dies. For this sample, I kept the background black and white (like old black and white photos) with just the camera as a big splash of color.

The background papers are from the upcoming Beautiful, ordinary Life papers. One side is soft, watercolored prints, and the other sides are these graphic black and whites.
I left a gap between the sunburst rays for some strong black lines, which reinforces the shutter effect.

The camera from the Capturing Smiles stamp and die bundle is so cute! I find that this film strip is quite fun to mix with flowers and other elements, too. Not just for memory keeping, I think this set is adorable and is really pretty versatile, especially for non-floral (non-frilly) projects.
The Sunburst Background Technique has so many variations ( I couldn’t stop coming up with ideas!), so I created a little tip sheet for you – FREE!
