For my in person classes during August, we made these fun Hippest Hippos cards for a bit of cute. Between all three cards, I think we’ve used pretty much every stamp and die in this bundle:
I’ll start with my personal favorite of the three: the hippo in the bathtub (or wash basin). It’s so cute to have the basin in the shiny silver foil, and the life ring detail just makes me laugh.
I had the idea to use the Effervescent Elements for bubbles in the bath, and I think they look fabulous! They add quite a bit of texture and interest to the project.
My tip for you: use a good amount of your Tombow Liquid Glue, and then drop the Effervescent Elements on top. Let dry thoroughly.
The second version features the little dancing hippo. I just had to use that tiny umbrella somewhere, and the position of the hands was just right for this element.
And the third version is a hippo in a boat. Notice the little silver rudder – so cute!
I’ve added the Effervescent Elements to this one, too, to give the waves die just a little more dimension.
The Hippest Hippos stamp set and the Hippos Dies are each free with a $110 NZD order with me during August only (or while stocks last). Place your order online or email me to make sure you get your FREE hippos!
