Today’s share is another fun project with the Catching Butterflies stamp set – such a cute one, particularly for a young girl. You could make this little person look like the person receiving the card!
This project was inspired by Melody Hyde, a very talented designer at Stampin’ Up! I copied her idea of placing the Butterfly Brilliance die cut under the girl for a pair of sparkling wings!
I’m really loving the Supple Shimmer Paper (Pool Party Glitter Paper). I do use a lot of that particular color anyway, and it’s just right for a pair of ethereal wings.
As a bonus, by trimming out the young girl, you can use this image without the net! That opens up quite a few more possibilities.
Her little dress is paper pieced from the Sunshine and Rainbows paper pack. It’s a great one with happy colors and small prints.
Both the Catching Butterflies stamp set and the Sunshine and Rainbows paper pack are a FREE gift option with a $110 NZD purchase from me through 16 March.
If you’re not sure what paper piecing is, I have a short video below.
Please enjoy this short video showcasing another Catching Butterflies project while teaching the Paper Piecing technique. Please comment and share – I appreciate it!
Thanks so much for stopping by my stamping studio in New Zealand today! ~ Jacque Williams
