Pet Refuge is an organization very close to my heart, and it’s my privilege to organize an approved fundraiser for them.
Who are they? Pet Refuge offers shelter and vet care for pets while their owner escapes an abusive situation. Did you know that 53% of abused people delay leaving out of fear for their pet’s safety? And 23% have had their pet killed by the abusive partner. Pet Refuge provides a healing place for the animal to reside while their owner finds safe accomodation.
They are at capacity and turn away animals every day. Every donation helps their efforts to provide vet care, shelter, and expand their ability to assist more people and their pets.
