Sympathy cards are one of those types of cards that one needs to just have on hand. Sadly, I’ve lost a friend recently, and it’s very hard to sit and create during sorrow. Here is one example of a good card to have on hand for times of grief. Today’s share is a stepped-up version of another card I shared previously, this one with a lot more detail:
I’ve used a few colours here, but the main ones are Mango Melody for the dress, Pool Party for the sky and water, and Gorgeous Grape for the flowers. I used Old Olive for the greenery and Crumb Cake for the mountain, but of course, all these can be changed to suit.
I also added some Frost White Shimmer Paint to the water for a bit more interest to an otherwise flat card. I love the shimmer paints so much!
I stamped and watercolored on our Watercolor Paper. Add the Shimmer Paint and let dry thoroughly. Then I ran the entire piece through a die cutter with the Subtle Embossing Folder. Rotate the stamped image 90 degrees and run it through again for this WONDERFUL canvas look!!
Everyone needs this folder . . . .
When I was making up a few of these, I took a little shot of one before I embossed and one after. What do you think?
