I do love the Snail Mail Suite, but today’s card focuses on the elements of that suite other than the cute snails! This bundle also contains fun toadstool or mushroom images, plus “postage” types of images to go along with the snail mail theme.
One of my favorite color combinations is this one above: Real Red, Sahara Sand, and Basic White, and Basic Black. It’s fresh! And it’s perfect for these images!
I colored in the cute toadstools with the Stampin’ Blends because it’s very difficult to get a true, rich red to coordinate with the Snail Mail paper with watercoloring.
There is a background similar to mine in the catalogue, and I thought it was a clever use of the dies. I’ve simply die cut the stitched rectangle die from the Snail Mail bundle a few times, adhered to a Basic White card, and then trimmed any pieces extending beyond the sides. Easy! And a fun, additional way to use those die shapes!
