One of my favorite current Stampin’ Up! products are those gorgeous Simply Zinnia dies. Today’s share is my latest Artisan project: a memory keeping layout using only neutral colors. This is a great palette for “hard to match” photos or for a more sophisticated feel:
Why not brown flowers? I love the look of dried flowers, and something this muted really helps the photos be the star of the show. I selected my palette right from the photo, in this case.
The Country Woods papers are really so great for a really general, but interesting, background for any papercrafting project. I’ve also used them for the title and the tab (Keeping Tabs bundle) on the side of the journalling tag.
Each large flower is four pieces for a really stunning finished effect. I tend to go all out in my layouts. My thinking is that (hopefully) these are the things my children and their children will cherish, and I want to pour lots of love into every detail.
I also made a facing page to match. The people who come to my scrapbooking classes like to have the option to make a double page spread or two single pages.
For this page, I’ve re-arranged the elements to add in more photos, while keeping the style and elements congruent.
Would you like to re-create this layout? I think you’ll love it; the Simply Zinnia dies are just gorgeous, right down to the detailed leaves.
I’ve made it easy for you with my Simply Zinnia Love Layout PDF, complete with a supply list, cutting measurements, and instructions with photos:
