I’m not sure I have ever made a Halloween card in my life, but when I pulled out these Frosted Forest spindly trees . . . I just got inspired! Even though we don’t really “do” Halloween here in New Zealand, this brought back childhood memories of growing up in Montana and raising my girls with this fun holiday in Seattle. I just love how it turned out:
I blended both Pumpkin Pie and Highland Heather to create the striking skyline. Use a simple post it note or a piece of copy paper to create the mask for the moon; this is probably my favorite aspect of this project.
And if you want to make this for another occasion, simply change up the color choices for a sunset or other setting.
Stamp the words of your choice across. My daughter, Sofie, said she would have liked it better if it had said “a little something just for boo”, which I thought was JUST ADORABLE. But alas, I don’t have one that says that. That would be so cute to for someone you might affectionately call ‘boo’.
Die cut the Frosted Forest spindly trees three times to create the row of trees. I’ve always liked these types of silhouette dies. Leave them black or dress them up with leaves or snow.
