Today’s share is inspired by the very talented Vicki Boucher, and her layered stamping with the new Textured Floral stamp set. I also wanted to showcase one way to use the Wild Wheat color, one that has been met with mixed reactions.
It’s also been commented to me several times that Wild Wheat is just the right color for seaweed, so that’s a project for another day. It’s a browny-yellow with a hint of green, and I think it’s quite nice paired with Pool Party and Night of Navy.
It’s also a great color for flower centers. We do need those accent colors. Maybe it’s not a color you might showcase, but it does work well in the right proportions with colors you may prefer more.
The Textured Florals is a distinktive stamp set, meaning it has shading etched right into the stamp itself. I still find that quite amazing every time I stamp one of these!
This particular set has more solid, watercolor type images, perfect for layering up in a watercolor wash sort of pattern. These would make a fabulous set of gift cards in different color combinations.
