It’s been a while since I’ve shared a scrapbooking layout on my blog, although I’ve been teaching quite a few scrapbooking classes this year. Today’s share is one I’ve designed in a Project Life sort of style, with each 3×4 “section” being its own little work of art:
This layout was inspired by a Pinterest printout, with no watermark, so I really don’t know who the original designer was. I revamped the idea with Stampin’ Up! products and my own variations to fit my photos.
I’ve used the Abstract Beauty Papers and the Abstract Beauty Ephemera pack for most of the elements, and both of these products are on discount right now, too!
I did create a second page to coordinate, this time using one large photo and the 3×4 spaces more as a border along the bottom.
The edges are stamped with the Stitchery stamp set, one that I’ve reached for more and more the last few months. It’s been in the catalogue for a few years, and I’m just now falling in love with it. It’s got quite a few stitches included, and makes a great little “join” when butting two pieces of paper together (as well as a fabulous border, as above!).
I just adore this fat bird from the Sweet Songbirds bundle! I used a scrap of watercolor paper to give him that fun color variation with Crushed Curry ink. Don’t you just love how the stamps and punch work to give such a detailed and dimensional little guy? Cute!
All the little elements are flowers are from the Abstract Beauty Ephemera pack. I admit that I’ve never been drawn to these packs in the paste, but wanted to really push those boundaries for myself. It was great fun having all those elements there and ready to go, perfectly coordinated with the Abstract Beauty papers.
And as much as we used on this layout in class, everyone still had heaps left over to carry on making more pages!
Join me for my next scrapbooking class! I run classes regularly in Auckland, Tauranga, Nelson, Hamilton, Whangarei and am new to Whangamata. Check out my calendar and contact me to book in!
