Today’s project is inspired by the talented Barb Pfeffer and her cute card with the Driving By SaleABration set. I loved the way she broke up the stenciled background into segments, so I re-created her look with a happy little LadyBug Punch:
The Butterflies and Flowers Layering Masks is a set of six masks (stencils), three of which a what I would call background stencils, or an “overall pattern”. I loved this idea of making that background pattern a little “lighter” by breaking it up into four Stitched Rectangles.
On this version, I made the background colors more intense. Colors used on both samples are Polished Pink, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Pool Party, and Fresh Freesia.
I’ve used the 2022 In Color Shimmer Vellum for the Ladybug Punch wings for a bit more sparkle. When my daughters were younger, anything pink or purple and sparkly was a winner!
