It’s time for another Global Video Hop! This month our theme was simple stamping, which I took to mean creating a card with minimal layers and just stamps, ink, and paper. Generally it also means something that someone just starting out as a stamper could successfully make, too.
I’ve actually grown to really appreciate a clean and simple style, with lots of “empty space” and a strong focal image. However, clean doesn’t have to mean “without technique”.
The new Calming Camellia stamp set is just jaw-dropping gorgeous. I love everything – the details, the flourish, the font .. .
These incredibly detailed images lend themselves quite well to simple projects because the images are just so beautiful all by themselves.
Please see the short video below showing how I colored in these flowers easily and quickly with the Whisper White Craft Ink. You’ll love how as it dries, the details of the stamped flower still come through!
Try this project in a variety of colors. It’s very helpful to have cardstock and ink that match. You can also step it up by having another ink pad that is a shade or two darker or lighter for even more interest.
