It took me a little while to warm up to the gnomes in the Gnomes for the Holidays set, but now I think they are just too cute! Something fun and different for the holidays – these little guys are sure to put a smile on your loved one’s face!
This card is pretty quick to do, and perfect for those who love to relax with some coloring tools! I’ve colored these guys with the Stampin’ Blends (alcohol markers), which give such a rich, blended look. I’m not the best with these, but even someone as somewhat unskilled with coloring as myself can still create a nice finish with these amazing markers!
I created both a more simple and a slightly more advanced version. One has a cut out gnome added to the foreground for that little bit more interest. Tip for cutting detailed images with scissors move the paper, not the scissors as you go around curves and corners. You’ll have a much smoother cutting line that way.
One of the best features of stamp “sets” is that you have multiple images that all work together, in the right proportions. In addition, any words included are in a complimentary font. I don’t know what it is about this font in the Gnome for the Holidays set, but it’s just adorable! It’s almost like a child’s handwriting.
The Pinewood Planks embossing folder is a great choice to pair with this set – for little creatures who live in the woodlands and in tree houses. Oh so cute!
