Today’s project is inspired by both Kaylee Van Es and Manuela Geiswinkler, both members of the Stampin’ Up! Artisan team. I added and changed a few things and made the card larger and a different shape, but I did love both original designs!
It was such fun to make and to teach this project! Once we embossed the birds and did the sponging, the rest of was assembling all the wonderful elements in this suite.
The colours are Night of Navy, silver, and Pretty Peacock, which aren’t two blues I’d normally put together. But I think with the nautical theme, it works.
The lighthouse is silver embossed onto Vellum Cardstock, something many seemed to be surprised was an option. It looks great! It does curl a little, but that is easily remedied with adequate adhesive.
Living in New Zealand, pretty much everyone appreciates a nautical themed card and/or know someone who will love to receive it. This is a great suite to have on hand for birthdays!
