Altered Clipboard in new Lemon Lime Twist!

Hi friends and happy Sunday!  I hope you’ve had a great weekend.  Today’s share is featuring one of the NEW five In-Colours being released 1 June: Lemon Lime Twist.   And the good news is you have an opportunity to get your hands on this colour 1 May – fully a month before the new catalogue comes out!   I think this colour will be a great one to pair with many of our existing colours – think of yummy, bright summer colours:

 

So I was asked to teach a class to a group of young tweens and they wanted to make something for their bedrooms and requested a clipboard.   I thought the new Lemon Lime Twist would be the perfect colour for a young teenager.  I’ve paired it here with the Dapper Denim, which seems to tone the colour right down while still keeping its vibrancy.  I think this colour is going to be just stunning with both darker, vibrant tones and with similar, lighter colours.

 

Each board had a pin board, which I cut out of cork tiles.  We also altered some inexpensive pens by adding the printed paper inside.  This is to keep the pen from going wandering!   It was also fun to do a little bit of stamping right on the cork!   The girls did a great job with this.

 

I also included some clips (embellished, of course) and post-it notes.  I hope the girls get a lot of fun and use out of their creations.   I’d be happy to teach this in classes this month by request (I did wonder if this project would appeal to those out of their teens.  Gift, maybe?)
