Please join us for our next Creative Inkers Team Stamp Camp! It’s been a while, and I hope to see you there!
WHO: This event is open to anyone on the Creative Inkers Team. This includes those who signed up with Jacque Williams, their direct team members, and their direct team members. Please feel free to ask if you’re not sure.
WHERE: We have reserved the Pokeno Hall for the 9th and 10th of August.
WHEN: 9th and 10th of August. The hall will be open to arrive at noon (please do not arrive early), but we won’t start our group projects until 7pm to accomodate those who are working on the Friday. You are welcome to arrive after noon and just craft and socialize. I will name the places so there’s no stress about finding a place to sit. I will find out an exact time we need to be cleaned up and out on the Saturday.
WHAT: The event will include six classes taught by various members of the team. We will also have a service project to benefit the Pet Refuge, an organisation that provides temporary housing for pets when their owner is fleeing an abusive situation. We will also have some free time for socialising, working on your own projects, and fun!
COST: $50 to cover projects, sundries, tea and coffee, and the venue.
ACCOMODATION: Due to the varied preferences, requirements, and budgets, you can select where you stay on the Friday (and possibly Saturday) evening. The Pokeno Motel is next door, from what I understand, and their prices are very reasonable. Some of you may prefer to return home or stay with a friend. I hope this arrangement is more suitable and cost-effective for everyone.
MEALS: Meals will not be provided, so you can select between bringing your food with you or going out to eat in Pokeno or other location of your choice. This will allow much easier accomodation of dietary preferences and budgets. We are allowed to eat in the hall, so no problem to bring food with you. Bringing table snacks are always welcome. I will provide hot drinks, milks, and some cups.
WHAT TO BRING: Some teachers may ask that you bring a few tools, but there’s no need to order things specially as people are generally willing to share. Even just a few extras in the group helps speed things up. You will also need to bring snacks, your basic tool kit, a reusable coffee mug, maybe a water bottle, swaps if you signed up for them, and anything you might like to have with you to do in your free time.
