It’s Friday! One easy-to-miss item in the Occasions Catalogue is the Mini Egg Cartons. Think Easter and beyond Easter – these are so cute! I’m imagining lip glosses, real eggs, Ferrer Rochers, bath bombs, or soaps in these little cartons.
My share today is inspired by my friend, Pam Jorgensen, who made up a similar box in blues:
First, I sprayed the box in Sweet Sugarplum, Clearly, it was very dilute as it came out more of a pale pink instead of a purple colour. Just be careful when colouring these boxes to not get them too wet all at once. If you want more colour, then let it dry and add another layer. Like “real” egg cartons, these are made out of pressed paper and the seams will disintegrate if they are soaked and handled roughly.
The top of our beautiful egg carton is embellished with the Special Reason Bundle. I’ve layered flowers and leaves for a bouquet effect.
The ribbon here is a SaleABration ribbon, so it’s no longer available. My apologies for being tardy in blogging this project. (But I still wanted to share before Easter!)
Tips:
- You can create dimension in your flowers in many ways. Here, I’ve sliced down the petals and used my bone folder to curl the petals downwards.
- The Classic Label Punch is great for adding that little tag.
- Everything is built upon the Crumb Cake Stitched Circle. So in theory, someone could toss out the box when it was time to do so and remove and reuse the top portion on a card or a gift packaging.
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful weekend. I’m off for a haircut in preparation for the CentreStage dinner (Leadership meeting) tonight and OnStage (new product training) all day tomorrow!
