There are days when I feel like I have the very best job in the world – and last week was full of them! Thanks to my loyal customers and my supportive team, my husband and I were able to go on an all expenses paid trip to Honolulu, Hawaii over the last eight days. I shared pictures through the week on my Facebook Page, but I know many of you are not Facebook users, so please enjoy some highlights below:
Our first day we toured around Waikiki and went to the markets. Fun to see.
Every night we are given a gift on the bed. This year we generously received sunglasses, a beach bag, up and coming product, and a beautiful silver necklace.
The view from our balcony. Unbelievable.
My personal favorite part of these trip is what is called the “hospitality desk”, which is a room Stampin’ Up! sets up as a gathering place for all the guests to chat, snack, and get to know one another. The room is also decorated up so nicely and chock full of lollies. Mostly I just love hanging out on the couches and meeting people.
We were absolutely treated to a private viewing and a special show just for us at the Polynesian Cultural Centre. I was busting my buttons – I was sooo proud of New Zealand and of those university students who work so hard to pay their way through school. What a fantastic programme this is for everyone involved.
We hiked up to Diamond Head and could see all of the area from up top. Robert almost died. This is his fake smile.
The American flag at half-mast at the USS Arizona Memorial where over 900 men are still bured under the water from teh Pearl Harbour attack. This was a very fascinating and sobering morning.
Swaps! Come see me 1 June between 10 am and 5pm to have a look!
Our trip passed over a Sunday due to flight arrangements, so Rob and I took the opportunity to attend church in Hawaii. We are dressed in the best we had with us! This was also one of our favorite experiences; we loved meeting people outside of the tourist area and connecting with their “real life”.
Our final dinner was a BBQ at the USS Missouri, the last battleship, that is now retired. Wow, it was fun to see all the husbands drooling and running around like little boys. Rob absolutely loved this ship! It was great of Stampin’ Up! to provide an activity that connected us with history and was so appealing to the men in the group.
Now we are back home and in our thermals!! I’ve hit the ground running and am excited to share new ideas and products with you!
