Yesterday I taught my fun daytime class here in my Birkenhead Studio, and we had a masculine theme in preparation for Father’s Day next month. Even those who don’t have a father can celebrate brothers, sons, husbands, uncles, or any other special man.
I’ve used a project by Kristine McNickle as my inspiration (shown below):
I’ve used the Guy Greetings set for both the background tools and the words – this set comes with hats, anchors, shoes, tools and several family words to choose from.
This is a bag for a small gift, just the right size for a few pieces of chocolate and a love note. My dad lives in the USA, so I won’t be sending him this and made it for my dear husband instead.
The bag is made using the new Gift Bag Punch Board, a fun new tool that makes making a small, medium, or large bag a snap!

This is the original design, which I varied only to make it masculine. This showcases how you can take a design you like and change up images and colours and it’s fairly different! Art doesn’t have to be hard!
