Saturday was a big day in my world – the all day Team Training I hold once a year as a follow up to convention in Australia. It's always very stressful and busy leading up to these events, and then so much fun when we finally get there!
Ann Wills taught our first class – a stunning piece of framed stamped art:
Next up we had Rhonda Fawcett from Matamata teach us a couple of masculine projects using the Motorcycle stamp:
That's some gorgeous hair, Pam.
After a really huge lunch because I didn't stop eating all day long, we had our lovely lovely friend Jo Donson come and speak to us about Low Fat Dressing. Always a laugh and full of good stories and information, Jo really does inspire us all to be a better us.
We were all enraptured . . . . even the masses of boys and adroids next door at the gaming convention couldn't help but stop when they passed by.
Our last hands on class was taught be Bron Heslop, another really neat masculine project using a very cool fold. She will be teaching this project along with another winner this saturday morning at SENZ. (Book in here and get the stamp used included in your class fee!)
We had quite a few other activites going on throughout the day, one of which was a group effort to make a supply of cards for Emma (the NZ country manager for Stampin Up) to use for Christchurch demonstrators and businesses. It's a simple yet effective card. More effective than I realized – read below:
I taught a class at the end of the day about Colour Theory. I pulled these colours straight off our wonderful Colour Coach. Bron pointed out to me how very earthy they were of me to line them up as I did . . . . earth, sun, and sky. No, no, that wasn't a fluke . . . . . LOL. Amazing how the eye naturally knows what looks "right".
Do you just love that background "stamp"? Can you tell from the above picture of Racheal and Rosie what we used for those?
Now, I can hear you all asking " where are the pictures of the projects you made all day"? I'll put those up over the next few days. Tomorrow, Thursday, and Friday so come on back!
