A few weeks ago, Stampin’ Up! demonstrators were invited to participate in Creativity Now, an online crafting event. A few of us from my team got together and enjoyed the event while socializing. It was a nice way to spend the day!
One of the projects showcased a new way to use the Pearlized Enamel Effects. (It was supposed to be a box, which none of us had, so we made a card instead).
I would have never thought to use the Pearlized Enamel Effects as a background like this! I loved it. It doesn’t dry very quickly, which can be a bonus because you can move it around until you’re happy with it.
So I took this idea and made another project with the Legendary Ride die set:
For my background, first I inked up my Exposed Brick Embossing Folder with Smoky Slate ink using a Brayer.
Next, I mixed about half and half Embossing Paste with the White Pearlized Enamel Effects with one drop of Pool Party ink. I know that’s a lot of stuff, but I was playing around.
I just smeared it on the background just where I intended to put the motorcycle, not really mixing them up first. So there are a few blue patches and a few areas where it’s just the Pearlized Enamel Effects. I like how it turned out for a bit of a grungy effect.
