easy handmade gift ideas I say it to my team all the time, and it's true about my customers and readers as well:  I am so blessed to have such a large and wonderful group of women around me.  I consider this one of the several outstanding gifts New Zealand has given to me.  This is such a culture of warm, accepting, non-judgemental people, truly a blessed nation.  I felt it such a honour to be allowed to vote on Saturday.

This beautiful bag was presented to me by a tiny lady with a giant heart last week.  Isn't she fantastic?  Not only for being so generous, but also so talented!  Thanks, Merilyn, for your love and friendship.  And thank you all for enriching my life.

Bagsandboxes

RivetgreatgiftideaAhh, it was SUCH fun to make this tin.  I felt that little thrill in my heart when researching and designing this little guy – 3D items are definately my "thing".  These ones were a special treat for my class attendees – these are altoid tins Jared brought back from Utah a few months back.  Most of the contents had been emptied out due to weight, but there were a few for the ladies to sample.

The covering of the tin anIMG_5346_edited-1d the embellishments are done with the Dashing papers, the Season of Joy stamp set, and the Tags for all stamp set.  Both sets are avaiable for just a few more weeks (both in the spring mini catalogue).  I'll miss that tree – it's just fantastic!

Altoid-tin We even stamped up a little piece of tissue paper and wrapped up a few wee Christmas tags, made super easy with a stamp set specifically designed for tags!

Sooo, I had just enough tins with a red rim for the class.  Lo and behold, I did a cleanout of my craft closet yesterday, and found three more!  So for TODAY, the first three people to email me with orders $50 or more will get one of these fab little tins for FREE!  Today, Monday November 10th until midnight!

Crab&co Another Christmas gift idea! (Don't forget your chance to win a free gift – a $20 gift voucher from me – submit your Christmas card via email today!)   Okay, I know I say it about every other set, but this one is really one of my favourites!  The sayings are so clever and I just love the fun, whimsical design.  And for even better value and versatility, team this set up with Unfrogettable.  The accessories and critters area all sized to mix and match.  Oh, I know how the wish lists go on and on!!

This is a fun project that features to pockets inside for gift vouchers, gift cards, cash, photos, chocolates, etc.  When I moved to New Zealand, I gave my dearest girlfriends each one of these with a toe ring inside because I always wear one.

The clam is stamped using our Basic Black ink, which is waterproof.  That means that it is not necessary to emboss before you watercolour!  Fantastic!  To do this project, please contact me to book into a class or for the name of a demonstrator near you!  Or do you want me to send you one of these?  Purchase a gift voucher $25 and up for yourself or a friend!  Or enter the Christmas card contest for November and win one for free!

{Christmas Extravaganza in Auckland}

Get eleven Stampin' Up! demonstrators and 75 women in one room and what do you get?  Besides being really hot.  A great afternoon of stamping and Christmas fun!

IMG_5336 Yep, we had a ball today in Auckland making Christmas cards, packaging, and a couple of gift items.  All the guests were lovely and enthusiastic, which makes the day so much easier for the demonstrators!  And holy cow, did we bring way too much food or what?!

When I return home after big events like this, I feel overwhelmingly grateful for the women in my life, both those with whom I work and teach, and those excited customers who make it so rewarding.  We are donating a portion of the day's entry fees to the Women's Shelter and Safe House here in Takapuna, and I feel very satisfied that we have done something to support the fellow women in the community.

If you would like to have an Extravaganza in your area, please contact me today, and we can make a date!  This is also a wonderful option for fundraisers, both for community organizations or for schools.

IMG_5334_edited-1 And many thanks for a lovely couple of ladies who donated a gorgeous door prize and are such a delight!  Please visit Barbara and Dyan

This little girl is now ten and dancing to Rihanna!

This page uses the very delicious Berry Bliss paper series and lots of Whisper White ink for a good frosted look around the edges.  Stamp set used is Spring Solitude, which is a level two hostess set.  Get your girls together for a workshop, class or group order to get this beautiful set for FREE!

The words on this pages are some of our rub-ons, which show up quite well on dark cardstock, textured card, and other items such as glass jars.  Please check back in the next day or two for a promotion on rub-ons!

This class was actually meant Solitude-pageto showcase the hodgepodge hardware; you can see I've put it on in quite a few places.  I love my hardware – great for masculine and great to give a good contrast to the soft colours here.

IMG_5306 I can't believe it's already been six weeks since my birthday!  These are some cute littel baskets we did as a class back at Easter.  Janine,  a good family friend, made this interpretation on the sly with my girls.  they had a great time doing the flowers, too!

I'm sure this easy little box will turn up again – good templates always do!

{The lessons we learn from Stamping}

I have often thought of doing a post of "Life Lessons from Stamping".  Well, this is one of them!

I have three daughters, all of whom LOVE glitter (and what female child does not?).  My glitter trays are often within reach, and they love to steal a fingerprint full and wipe it on their faces.  The other day, I caught Sofie drawing in my glitter, and I growled at her about how many times do I have to ask her to stop playing in my glitter, it costs me money, blah blah blah.  And here is what she was drawing:

This set has been on my wish list for at least four years, and I just got it! Yep, even the demonstrators have wish lists . . .

I love the unusual Christmas colours in this design, which is Cased off of Tracey-Stamper, a demo in the USA. I also thought it was fun to teach the baby-wipe technique, just something fun and different using supplies you probably already have around.

The trees are coloured in using markers, which are on promotion starting November 10th! Previously, we could only buy either the entire set of else packs of twelve. From Nov 10-31, you can buy singles! Yahoo! The demos are thrilled about this option, too! Please check the promotions page for further information.
