Custom Tee Congratulations Card

We have had a fantastic weekend at both the Auckland and the Hamilton Extravaganzas – thank you all who were there either teaching or participating.  These events are only great because you are there!

I must admit I had a nap today!

Today’s share is a leftover card kit I redesigned to use current products. I had a demonstrator on my team achieve her QuickStart bonus and wanted to send her a little pat on the back:

I used the Custom Tee bundle here. This could be easily made into a more masculine birthday card, for example, by using T-Shirts instead.

I tried a few different things and decided coloured paper with the white embossing worked best. I also inked over the embossing just a little bit to bring it out more.

I sure am proud of my team when they achieve their goals!

If you’ve thought about becoming a demonstrator or if you wish list is longer than your grocery list, read more about it.  Receive two free stamp sets on top of your starter kit as a bonus through March only!

Hey, Chick Mini Egg Carton Easter Project

Today’s project share is what I taught at the Nelson Extravaganza last Saturday!  We dressed up one of those cute Mini Egg Cartons in the Occasions Catalogue.  Some prepared their box for Easter, and others made theirs more general for any chocolate or gift occasion:

I used the SaleABration freebie, Hey, Chick, as the image on the tag. I thought this was a nice tie in for Easter, but could also be just something sweet for a girlfriend.

We had the most fun colouring up our boxes!   They start out as more of a natural, egg carton colour.  We got fairly messy and spritzed these boxes up into various shades of Bermuda Bay.

We also inked up our Lace Doilies in Old Olive and everybody got four big, chocolate eggs to take home. They were for the boxes, but some eggs may or may not have made it home . . . .

I”m looking forward to our Tauranga (18th), Auckland (11th), and Hamilton (12th) events!  I will be sharing more of a vintage-style card at those extravaganzas.

Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget you get a free SaleABration gift with any order of $110!

P.S. Do you have a really big wish list?  Consider reading about joining my team for so many benefits, including getting your product a little cheaper!

Cool Treats DEBossed Birthday Card + Tutorial Video!

Happy Wednesday!  Today I want to share with you a project I’ve wanted to try for a while now – a debossed card using one of my favorite stamp sets: Cool Treats.

I love how fun and fresh these images are!

stampin up cool treats debossed sweet

This project starts out using the Celebrations Duo Embossing Folders to create a valley on the Whisper White cardstock.  On this sample I’ve used Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron, and Pool Party.

I did a few different colour versions to show that this can be done for either gender or any age.  For someone more sophisticated, I’d choose very soft colours, for example.   But who doesn’t like ice blocks or at least have warm memories eating one?

This colour combination is So Saffron, Pool Party, and Watermelon Wonder.  I’ve also switched the card base to Pool Party.

All the images are from the Cool Treats stamp set.  This can also be bundled with the dies for a discount, which are very useful for future projects.

This project is March’s Birthday Club project – purchase kits of this project, pre-cut and ready to go!  You can purchase just the kits or with the stamps, dies, and folder!

And please enjoy this video tutorial!

Dragonfly Dreams Watercolored Pencils Background – KIT for Birthday Cards

My last post I shared A Dragonfly Dreams card, and we are on a roll!  I’d love to share this fun project using  Dragonfly Dreams, featuring an artsy watercolored background. I’ve used the Watercolor Pencils here to create this look:

Each of these turns out as a little work of art.  Some are more “runny” and others stay more in a rectangular shape.  All look great – it’s just a matter of personal preference!

On this version, I used Old Olive, Bermuda Bay, Pacific Point, and Daffodil Delight.  Simply scribble the pencils onto the cardstock, and use a Stampin’ Spritzer or an Aquapainter (or both) to blend the colours and let them run.

You can quickly contain the colours by blotting them up with a tissue or heating them with the Heat Tool to stop the blending.

I wanted to add a bit more colour as I was working on this one, so while the paper and pencils were still wet, I coloured more on with a dry Watercolor Pencil. Here is where I learned to wet the pencil first!  Those scratch marks are from the dry pencil, but I also liked that effect.  Like I said, they all come out quite differently and each with their own appeal.

This version uses the warmer colours of Rich Razzleberry, Calypso Coral, Pumpkin Pie, and Daffodil Delight.

We made this project at my garage sale a few weeks ago, and it was fun to see everyone’s artist come out. Some were more reserved and some really got in there!  And all the colour combinations were beautiful.

New this year! KITS!

Every month , I will offer a birthday card kit.  This project is perfect because each one turns out differently with so many possibilities!

You have the option of ordering four kits for $12 which will include all consumables (cardstock, twine, glimmer paper) pre-cut and ready to go.  You may also add-on the Dragonfly Bundle and other products.    Of course, you can always order whatever products you need and just add the kits on top!

Instructions included.

Christmas Market!

We had a Stampin’ Up! stand at the Lopdell House Christmas Market in Titirangi on Saturday – my first ever market stand!   I was really unsure what to prepare that would sell well, so I learned a lot.  Today’s share is an overview of what we had on offer. I hope you get some cute ideas for easy stocking stuffers or gifts for friends:

These fun lolly tubes are so cute and easy to make!  I used the Tin of Tags kit for the toppers and simply adhered them to our 1×8 inch tubes filled with 12 jaffas.  (psst – the Tin of Tags is on discount plus you get an adorable tin to keep!)

We pretty much sold out of these; I just have a couple left.  Several people came by who bought them for each of their grandchildren.

Here I have wrapped up the large Cadbury chocolate bars to make them a bit less ordinary.

And same here, but these are the thick Whittakers bars.  Love the cute little Jingle Bell!

I blogged these previously, and I made up a heap more for the market!  The ones that are left I am sending up north for a group of young missionaries who come from poorer countries so they have something to unwrap Christmas morning.

I made these last year and enjoyed them so much!  We sold out at the show, but I made a few spare for my own personal gift giving.

These are not particularly a Stampin’ Up! item, except the Cellophane Bags and the Twine.   I bought cookie cutters on clearance last March and filled them with melted Cadbury Chocolate.  We sold out of these except for one particular shape that people couldn’t figure out what it was . . . . it was a Santa Hat that possibly could be construed otherwise. And that’s all I will say about that on a public forum!  (I won’t be sending those to the missionaries!)

Overall it was fun.  The four hours whizzed by.  Any questions, please feel free to ask!

Today’s share is a happy, fresh, quick Christmas card featuring the Hang Your Stocking Bundle.  This is such a cute set that would appeal to everyone:

This fun project also used the new Stitched Shapes Framelits – repeating the stitched theme easy peasy!  Love how these dies nest in perfectly with our other Circle, Oval, and Square Framelits, too.

The stocking is also accented with the Mini Jingle Bells (you get heaps in a pack!), again repeating that “sewn” look, even if I did use a glue dot!

The colour combination here is one of my favorites – Real Red, Pool Party, and Old Olive.  It’s very fresh!

Don’t forget the Online Extravaganza this week – grab a bargain!!

Quick, Pretty Card using Swirly Bird

Like

Hi friends!  Today’s share is inspired by two projects off Pinterest to make this pretty, yet quick, card!    I’ve used the Swirly Bird Bundle here, a set of dies and stamps that are oh-so-versatile:

The colours are three of the new In-Colours, which team up nicely together for a sweet project.  Flirty Flamingo, PeekaBoo Peach, and Sweet Sugarplum look great together!

You can make this project in about 15 minutes; it’s a great template to keep on hand to recreate in different colours and with different sentiments. Here I’ve used the Better Together stamp set, one that I will be using in the upcoming Extravaganzas as well.
