This is not my best stamping effort . . . However, you get the idea!

Stampinupboldbirthday Colours: Tangerine Tango, Taken with Teal, Rose Red, Summer Sun

Other: 1/4 grosgrain ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds glitter

Rivetmaleapproved So, my husband thinks he can ask me to make him cards for some reason.  How cheeky.

So I've swapped him for a massage.

Stampinupcheaptalkinvite Jared trains many of the music leaders in our area, and is putting on a special training night in a few weeks.  So he needs 35 of these babies.  Hence the simple design, but I still really like it.

The colour challenge was a perfect combination – fun and cheery, but not too girly.

Love the cheep talk set!  We couldn't find any stamps suitable for "music", so this was actually a cool little option instead.

Anybody want to play factory with us this afternoon?

Supplies Used:

Stamps:  Cheep Talk  $56.95, Cheer and Wishes $39.95, although Really Retro $28.95 would have been better for this one.  I just don't own it (yet!)

Colours:  Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, Rose Red, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie beak

Other: Kiwi Kiss ribbon

Stampinupeastercard Easter is one of my favourite times of the year.  And, being raised in the Northern Hemisphere, this cooler time of year feels a bit more festive to me anyway, adding to the special time that Easter already is.

This card idea is taken from brandycox; thank you for sharing your creative ideas.  This industry has a lot of give and take, which I really appreciate especially for those times when one hits a "creative block"!

I realize that the papers here and two of the colours are now retired.  However, you can still use the idea with new papers and/or I have a few bits and pieces left here you can order if you want exactly what is shown here.

IMG_6013_edited-1 The little chicky and both sentiments are from the stamp set A Good Egg.  I coloured in chick straight with markers and then added a load of glitter.  He looks awesome!

The edge is done with the Scallop Edge Punch for a "cracked egg" look.  Just a fun card today!

Suppplies used:

Stamp sets:  A Good Egg

Colours:  Ruby Red, River Rock, Groovy Guava

Other:  Ginger Blossom Designer Series Paper, Designer Label Punch, Small Oval punch, Scallop Edge punch, Earth Elements brads, River Rock Ribbon

Bagsandboxes

Stampinuplikeitalattebox Oh, this is one of those retiring sets that will take me some time to part with  . . . I have used and adored these swirly images!  I am not a coffee drinker nor a big chocolate fan, but I still love the style of this set.  And it's great for little gifts for those who are!

This explosion box is one I did actually a few years ago, loving the Real Red and Chocolate Chip combination.  The word chocolate on the top fo the box is acheived by inking up just the one word on one of the sentiment stamps with a Chocolate Chip marker (gee, how many times have I written "chocolate" in this post?), and then stamping.  This is a great way to get lots of uses out of your sentment stamps – pulling a word or phrase out here and there.

Stampinuplikeitalatteboxope The foam was lots of fun!  I used Liquid Applique here and before heating it up, I sprinkled in some red microbeads and also a dash of glitter.

The explosion box itself is a very easy template, but a cool wow! for the recipient!  I added a sachet of hot chocolate powder to this, wrapped up in the Red Gingham ribbon.

Add in loads of Chocolatey sponging, and you've got a perfect gift for a chocoholic!

Stamps Used:  Like it a Latte  (RETIRING in 12 days!  Order today!)

Colours:  Real Red, Chocolate Chip

Other:  Red gingham ribbon, Liquid Applique, red microbeads, sponges, markers

Stampinuppaintcan Last night I did a fun class on Altered Paint Cans … but this sample is not it!  I woke up today and decided I wanted to make something for my dear husband.  And the paint can was still sitting on my desk and the Kristina Werner Challenge was a definate masculine possibility . . .

So I've made Jared a can to put on his desk.  As you can see, I've removed the paint handle and added a knob instead.  I've filled up the tin with black and white mints for those days when he has tuna for lunch.

The "enjoy" word is made using the Schoolbook Serif Alphabet and using the Stampamajig to line up the letters how I wanted them.  It works really well!

The top emblem is made up with various circles and the Seeing Spots and In the Spotlight stamp sets (both retiring).

What do you think?

Stampinupenjoypaintcan Stamp sets used:  Schoolbook Serif Alphabet, Seeing Spots, In the Spotlight

Colours Used:  Basic Grey, Basic Black, Whisper White

Other: buttons, thread, jumbo pewter eyelets, mat pack, ribbon (brand unknown)  Stampinuppaintcan1

IMG_1295_by_Anne_Dil[1] Another contribution from our lovely Anne!

I've had several spiiner cards on here before, but Anne felt the photo just didn't do them justice, and they don't!  So she's made this little video clip to show you how they work.

You won't be able to keep your kids from playing non-stop with these!

These are so easy to do and such a wow project.  What do you think of these?

Anne's samples here are made with Designer Series Paper and Boho Background stamp set.

Rivetmaleapproved

Peekaboo cards are a fun twist on the traditional card and hold a sweet inside!  This is a take on the lovely card AnneMarie designed a few weeks ago.

Stampinuppeekaboo Once you know where to score, this one goes together very quickly.  The centre window is made using the circle scallop punch, and then the remaining image is used to layer on the front.

The focal image is done using In the Stars stamp set and the two sizes of star punches.  I added just a bit of glitter, even though I was going for masculine!  I did run this by my husband, and he gave his approval.

Colours Used: chocolate chip, Soft Sky, Wild Wasabi

Stampinuppeekaboo2 Stamps Used: In the Stars, Rough Texture jumbo wheel

Other: Scallop circle punch, both star punches, Scallop Edge Punch, silver brad, Dazzling Diamonds glitter

The chocolate heart inside is from the Chocolate Boutique and come in a myriad of colours.
