Mini Egg Cartons with Special Reason – Ready for Easter!

Like Love Haha Wow Sad Angry

It’s Friday! One easy-to-miss item in the Occasions Catalogue is the Mini Egg Cartons. Think Easter and beyond Easter – these are so cute!   I’m imagining lip glosses, real eggs, Ferrer Rochers, bath bombs, or soaps in these little cartons.

My share today is inspired by my friend, Pam Jorgensen, who made up a similar box in blues:

First, I sprayed the box in Sweet Sugarplum,  Clearly, it was very dilute as it came out more of a pale pink instead of a purple colour.  Just be careful when colouring these boxes to not get them too wet all at once. If you want more colour, then let it dry and add another layer.   Like “real” egg cartons, these are made out of pressed paper and the seams will disintegrate if they are soaked and handled roughly.

The top of our beautiful egg carton is embellished with the Special Reason Bundle.  I’ve layered flowers and leaves for a bouquet effect.

The ribbon here is a SaleABration ribbon, so it’s no longer available.  My apologies for being tardy in blogging this project. (But I still wanted to share before Easter!)

  1. You can create dimension in your flowers in many ways. Here, I’ve sliced down the petals and used my bone folder to curl the petals downwards.
  2. The Classic Label Punch is great for adding that little tag.
  3. Everything is built upon the Crumb Cake Stitched Circle.  So in theory, someone could toss out the box when it was time to do so and remove and reuse the top portion on a card or a gift packaging.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a wonderful weekend. I’m off for a haircut in preparation for the CentreStage dinner (Leadership meeting) tonight and OnStage (new product training) all day tomorrow!

Cool Treats Pocket Letter Swap in New Zealand!

Like Love Haha Wow Sad Angry

Well this week has just run away!   One of the MANY fun things we did at camp was organize and take part in our first ever Pocket Letter Swap!  What’s a pocket letter?

It had to be explained to me many times!  Basically it’s done Project Life sort of style in the plastic pocket sleeves.  Create little works of art featuring a theme or a suite of products on one side. The back side usually has trinkets, treats, product, and a letter!

Here is what I swapped with someone else:

We decided as a group to use the 6×8 sized pages instead of the 12×12’s for our first attempt.  It’s a good size to get one’s feet wet anyway.

The Cool Treats Suite is probably my favorite suite in the entire catalogue!  I love how both neutral and versatile this one can be!   And don’t you just love that wee spoon?!

The coordinating dies make it so easy to make everything look just right!  I don’t know about you, but these images so remind me of my childhood.  Bright red lips, cherry red tongues, and sticky fingers all around.

And on the back I have included some coordinating product and a small note of affection.

Now this was my first attempt, but I must say I’m a bit hooked on the idea of Pocket Letters!  And I think the team is, too.  If you would like to be part of our awesome team who loves to craft and share so much, I’d love to have you!

You can read more about us HERE.

Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. I also made some NOTEBOOKS with the Cool Treats Suite!  And if you’re coming to the Tauranga Extravaganza 18 March, you’ll be making a window card with this winner as well!

Nailed It – A Masculine DIY Gift & Card!

Like Love Haha Wow Sad Angry

Most of us struggle with ideas for fun and appealing cards to give to the blokes in our lives!  I hope my share today will give you some inspiration – you will love the new Nailed It Bundle!  Being married to a retired builder myself, this set is absolutely perfect for any handy sort of person:

Valentine’s Day is not a big celebration in New Zealand, but for those who do like to do a little something (for Valentine’s, birthday, or for no particular occasion at all), this project would make anyone’s day!

The giant chocolate bar is wrapped decoratively, and the card is designed to fit into a little pocket on the bar for a complete gift.  The card serves not only as a card, but as a decorative front for the bar.    The sleeve pulls on and off, so in theory, it could also be recycled.

I must admit these were so fun to make.   We watercoloured the tools using the new Watercolour Pencils (so easy to use!) and had great fun making them all unique.

And don’t you love that ruler in the background?!  That is also part of the Nailed It Bundle.

I used the Brushstrokes Background and Gorgeous Grunge to create the background, but it would also look equally nice if you used the Hardwood Background.

I hope you give this a try!   Remember you will receive a free SaleABration item with any order of $110 (no limit).  It’s a great time to get superior value for money on your stamping supplies!   Have a browse through my shop!   You can also request a catalogue HERE.

Have a wonderful Auckland Anniversary weekend!

P.S. Is your wish list really long?  Do you have a friend or two who like to craft?  Consider joining my team of demonstrators – whether for your own purchases, for you and a few friends, or as a small or large business, joining my team could be the best decision for you!  Find out more:

Cool Treats Summer Altered Notebook – Take Two!

Like Love Haha Wow Sad Angry

Our trip to Perth was short, but fun, despite the reason being a funeral.  It was great to catch up with friends and deepen relationships with the family there.

Today’s share is a second version of the notebook I shared last week – both so cute and equally fun and fresh:

The new Cool Treats Bundle is so much fun!  Great for all ages, genders and interests, this set is so versatile!

Again, I’ve simply made a new front for an ordinary notebook.  The background is the new Tasty Treats Specialty Paper.   I’ve also used the Tasty Treats Washi Tape and the Sprinkles Embellishments.

One of the benefits of using Stampin’ Up! is the coordination among the products.  The Cool Treats Bundle is easy to use with all the available accessory products!  And don’t forget you get a FREE SaleABration item with every $110 purchase!

** Place an online order of $50 or more and receive a video tutorial of this project FREE!

Colour INKspiration Challenge with Cool Treats

Like Love Haha Wow Sad Angry

I’m taking off tomorrow for a few days for a funeral, so here is Friday’s post a day early!  Today I’m taking inspiration from the Colour INKspiration Challenge group:

I didn’t adhere to those colours exactly, but pretty close!   Couldn’t resist using the new Cool Treats bundle:

I’ve taken a plain white notebook here, and basically made a new cover.  I sanded the edges of the Designer Series Paper and used a bit of vellum to tone it down a smidge.

One amazing thing about our ink pads is the ability to create many different tones with a single colour!   I’ve also dressed up these cute ice blocks with the Fine Tip Glue Pen, Wink of Stella, and a tiny bit of glitter along the bottom.

I combined both the Cool Treats stamp set and the Suite Sentiments set for the wording along the front.  I thought this was a wonderful reminder to have on the front of a book of thoughts, gratitude, or memories.

I have another version of this notebook which I’ll post next!  (Either late today if I have a chance or Monday when I’m back!)

Check out the Cool Treats bundle, and don’t forget you get a FREE SaleABration item with every $110 purchase!

Vintage Vertical Greetings Gift Voucher Card

Like Love Haha Wow Sad Angry

I’m back with another project using the Vertical Greetings stamp set!  This time I went to something quite different and chose a softer colour combination:

I’ve used Blushing Bride, Sweet Sugarplum, and Rose Red along with Crumb Cake.  I also got out Always Artichoke, a colour I am starting to really like again.

This fun design opens up to two pockets – one for a notecard and the other for a photo or a voucher or anything slim!

I’ve used the Floral Affection folder here for a bit of trim.

One of the great things about this set is you can mix and match the pots with the “greenery” to fit the project.

I hope you’ve enjoyed the last couple of posts featuring the Vertical Greetings stamp set!  If you’d like to order your own set, email me or click below to order online!

Don’t forget – any order of $110 receives a FREE SaleABration product of your choice – no limit!

My Christmas Tree this Year – in a Frame!

Like Love Haha Wow Sad Angry

Happy Thursday and 3 days before Christmas!

As many of you know, my daughters are with extended family this year for the holidays, so Robert and I will be having a quiet one.  At first I was sad, but now we are making the most of it and getting some real quality husband/wife time in as well as some serious down time!  And the girls are truly having the time of their lives and being kept very busy.

So this is our tree this year.

My team member and friend, Ria Kaire, kindly made us this stunning framed art, and it’s perfect!

She has used the Forever Evergreen set for the images and embellished with the Mini Pinecones, Gold Twine, and Gold Sequins.

How beautiful is that?!   I have this on display on our mantle now.  We were going to wait until Christmas morning to open our tiny little pile of gifts, but I’m so glad we didn’t wait so we can enjoy this for the week!

It’s wonderful to be part of a Stampin’ Up! team, especially this one.  Sale-A-Bration will be starting in January – and that means there will be an awesome bonus for anyone who decides to join my team.   Start thinking about it now; I’d be happy to send you an informational packet.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Market!

Like Love Haha Wow Sad Angry

We had a Stampin’ Up! stand at the Lopdell House Christmas Market in Titirangi on Saturday – my first ever market stand!   I was really unsure what to prepare that would sell well, so I learned a lot.  Today’s share is an overview of what we had on offer. I hope you get some cute ideas for easy stocking stuffers or gifts for friends:

These fun lolly tubes are so cute and easy to make!  I used the Tin of Tags kit for the toppers and simply adhered them to our 1×8 inch tubes filled with 12 jaffas.  (psst – the Tin of Tags is on discount plus you get an adorable tin to keep!)

We pretty much sold out of these; I just have a couple left.  Several people came by who bought them for each of their grandchildren.

Here I have wrapped up the large Cadbury chocolate bars to make them a bit less ordinary.

And same here, but these are the thick Whittakers bars.  Love the cute little Jingle Bell!

I blogged these previously, and I made up a heap more for the market!  The ones that are left I am sending up north for a group of young missionaries who come from poorer countries so they have something to unwrap Christmas morning.

I made these last year and enjoyed them so much!  We sold out at the show, but I made a few spare for my own personal gift giving.

These are not particularly a Stampin’ Up! item, except the Cellophane Bags and the Twine.   I bought cookie cutters on clearance last March and filled them with melted Cadbury Chocolate.  We sold out of these except for one particular shape that people couldn’t figure out what it was . . . . it was a Santa Hat that possibly could be construed otherwise. And that’s all I will say about that on a public forum!  (I won’t be sending those to the missionaries!)

Overall it was fun.  The four hours whizzed by.  Any questions, please feel free to ask!
