Colour Inkspiration 27 – Gable Gift Box with Celebrate You

Welcome to another Colour Inkspiration Blog Hop!  You’ve landed at Jacque Williams in New Zealand.   The Colour Inspiration Crew would like to start you off with inspiration by going through our blog hop!

Our colour combination for this fortnight is Pool Party, Island Indigo, Powder Pink and Melon Mambo:

I decided to venture away from cards this time and instead made a sweet little gift with the Silver Gable Boxes:

I have some special chocolates in the box.   I thought a few chocolates and water are a nice refreshment, especially when packaged up cutely!

I’ve altered these boxes a little bit. They come flat and without any window. I used one of the hearts from the Sweet & Sassy Collection to create the window here.

Next I embossed the body of the box with one of the folders from the Petal Pair Embossing Folders.   Metallic cardstock looks stunning when it’s been embossed – changes from “just shiny” to “wow that’s amazing”!

I used the gorgeous Celebrate You dies for the Amazing.  Isn’t this just a gorgeous font?

The Melon Mambo just sneaked in there with a little Enamel Shape.

The water bottles are easy to do. Simply take the original label off and wrap around with cardstock or printed paper.  I just added a few coordinating elements and done!

This would make a nice favor for a birthday party or a little thank you for guests at a bridal shower.

And thanks for stopping by my blog! I hope you’ve enjoyed your stay and the rest of the hop!  Next: Rebecca Scurr!

Happiest of Days Birthday Gift Voucher or Gift Certificate Card Holder

Sometimes it’s nice to have that bit extra with your birthday cards – like a pull up feature to hold a gift voucher!

Today’s share is a bright, happy card featuring the Happiest of Days stamp set.  I enjoy the whimsical nature of this one and had fun making this pull up card with it:

In the background, I’ve used the new glitter embossing paste – yummy!  This is really sparkly and fun.  The possibilities – can’t wait to dye this paste and see what that does!  Would be great for a wedding card, too.

Open this up and there is a small pop up feature where you can slip in a gift voucher or a photo!

I coloured the bright gifts on the front using the Watercolour Pencils. These are great when you want quite a bit of control, like colouring in these relatively small spaces here.  I blended the colour out with a Blender Pen.  So easy!

Do you want to learn techniques with cardmaking and stamping like above?  We’d love to have you at a class or at an Extravaganza!  Our Christchurch event is coming up soon; please check it out!

Supply list below – don’t forget you get a free gift with every order of $110 or more (no limit). xx

A Gift Idea Any Crafter Can Make and and Anyone Would Appreciate!

Christmas is almost here and in my husband’s family, they draw names amongst the adults.  And I was given my sister-in-law’s name . . . a single lady with no children, a well paying job, a minimalistic house, and is vegan ketogenic diabetic.

She’s also generous and loves family gatherings and occasions, so I think the perfect gift for her is:

A box matching her decor stuffed full of handmade cards for various occasions!

I know most crafters have a stash of cards they have on hand from classes and samples or ones they haven’t used yet . . . so why not package them up as a much appreciated gift!

A very simple tag and ribbon finish this off for a nice presentation!

If filling a box is too many, try using our Acetate Boxes; you can fit 3-5 cards and envelopes in these for a professional finish.

I look forward to giving this to her on Christmas morning!

Merry Mistletoe Gift Voucher Card

And here’s one for those hard-to-buy-for teenagers or grandchildren or husband!  When you want to give a gift voucher, make it a little more personal with a handmade package.

The front of this is inspired by a card design by Allison Okamitsu and I just reformatted it to fit a gift voucher:

I love this fresh colour combination and the bold images in the Merry Mistletoe stamp set!  As many of you know, I don’t gravitate to the traditional bright green and red Christmas combination, but the Berry Burst with the Wild Wasabi feels fresh and fun – perfect for the summer Christmas we enjoy here in New Zealand.

Add that bit of Bermuda Bay for even more pop.

Open the card to reveal a simple sliding pocket for a gift voucher or a photo or anything flat.

The Tree Rings background adds a bit of whimsy, which is always fun when giving a gift!

This is one for the guys, too!

Thanks for stopping by! I’m looking forward to our big Auckland Christmas Extravaganza tomorrow and to the one in Nelson next Saturday (25th).  And guess what?  Next year we will have them in two new locations: Dunedin and Christchurch!

Quilted Christmas Home Decor and Gift Cards

Happy Monday! I’ve just spent an amazing weekend with my team and some staff from Stampin’ Up! for our semi-annual training day, OnStage.  The time went way too quickly, and I’ve come back to work today energized and excited!

Today’s share is another version of the Quilted Christmas Home Decor piece I shared a few weeks ago, this time in Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz:

I’m teaching this at all my classes in November – please join in if you’d like to make one for yourself or for a gift!  Both colour options available.

Each square uses different elements of the Quilted Christmas bundle -both the stamps and the dies.

Aren’t those spools and needle so adorable?!  This set is so much more than Christmas!

I realize that some people who come to my classes would prefer cards, and it’s easy enough to take the elements from this framed art and make cards with them.  Here are just a few samples:

I look forward to sharing this project with you!   You can order the supplies for this project below and remember you get the November All Stars Tutorial Bundle free with any order of $50 or more!

Painted Harvest Bag Tags!

This weekend is OnStage – our semiannual Stampin’ Up! meeting.  Well, “meeting” doesn’t quite describe it.  Party?  Celebration?  Well a whole lot of fun anyway!

I like to do little appreciation gifts for my direct team here and there throughout the year, and the OnStage event calls for bag tags for the totes we receive as part of the day.  I really do value those who choose to sign up directly with me on my Stampin’ Up! team:

If there is a winner in the Holiday Catalogue, it’s got to be the Painted Harvest stamp set and coordinating punch.   Such a stunner!   I’ve stamped the flower directly on the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper for a rustic look.

The colour combination is Peekaboo Peach, Crushed Curry, and Calypso Coral.  The photo doesn’t do it justice!

I tried a number of combinations here and while all were lovely, I decided I liked the Cherry Cobbler, Berry Burst, and Crushed Curry the best.  Easy!

If you’ve thought about becoming a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, I’d LOVE to have you on my team.  You can make this opportunity as big or as small as suits you!  Please read more:

October All Stars Blog Hop – Quilted Christmas

Welcome to October, Welcome to New Zealand, and Welcome to another All Stars Blog Hop!

This month we decided to feature the Holiday Catalogue again; you’ll see a variety of Christmas and non-Christmas projects both on this hop AND in the 12 tutorial bundle offered below.

Both of my projects focus on the Quilted Christmas Bundle.  This bundle is so much more than Christmas:

I had great fun making this home decor piece!   I plan to make another one in a different colour scheme, too.   We do a draw for names in my husband’s family . . .  . well I guess I hope I get the name of someone who will enjoy this!

Each square on this wall art features the Quilt Top Embossing Folder and some element from the Quilted Christmas stamp set or die set or both.  Here, I’ve used the star pattern stamps along with the stitching dies.

And isn’t this needle die just soooo adorable!   Such a cute, cute touch to the embellishments.

The Quilted Christmas die set also has these fun daisy-type flowers as a compliment to the quilted stars.  I also think the little cross stitching stamp is very useful!

If you don’t wish to make home decor, consider taking each of these squares and making a square notecard!  Or do both!

Remember the 12 designers on this hop have also created an exclusive tutorial bundle for October – yours free with any $50 order with me (Jacque Williams) or you can purchase below for $20 NZD.

I hope you’ve enjoyed your stop here.  Next stop: Jenneke De Jong!

Easy Christmas Table Decor with Hug in a Mug!

Like
Like Love Haha Wow Sad Angry

A few weekends ago we had a very large team meeting for the Stampin’ Up! demonstrators on my team here in Auckland to launch the Holiday Catalogue (coming this Friday!).   I wanted to make a little something for the tables that also showcased some of the new product:

I’ve cut the new Acetate Card Boxes in half to create a little pocket box, then covered in various of the new Designer Series Papers.     I created a very simple tag using the new Hug in a Mug stamp set (so cute!!) and the Scallop Tag Topper Punch (so fast!!).

As you can see, we filled each box with little goodies for the day – namely drinks, chocolate, and a Stampin’ Up! pen.  My thought was they could use these items on the day and then refill the box for displays or re-gifting.

Love this new Jute Twine. I think we will be using this a lot!

What could you put in your box for your table this season?  Or for a birthday party?

The Holiday Catalogue is live this Friday (1 September) and all these exciting products will be available to order well in time for the festivities!
