Happiest of Days Birthday Gift Voucher or Gift Certificate Card Holder

Sometimes it’s nice to have that bit extra with your birthday cards – like a pull up feature to hold a gift voucher!

Today’s share is a bright, happy card featuring the Happiest of Days stamp set.  I enjoy the whimsical nature of this one and had fun making this pull up card with it:

In the background, I’ve used the new glitter embossing paste – yummy!  This is really sparkly and fun.  The possibilities – can’t wait to dye this paste and see what that does!  Would be great for a wedding card, too.

Open this up and there is a small pop up feature where you can slip in a gift voucher or a photo!

I coloured the bright gifts on the front using the Watercolour Pencils. These are great when you want quite a bit of control, like colouring in these relatively small spaces here.  I blended the colour out with a Blender Pen.  So easy!

Do you want to learn techniques with cardmaking and stamping like above?  We’d love to have you at a class or at an Extravaganza!  Our Christchurch event is coming up soon; please check it out!

Supply list below – don’t forget you get a free gift with every order of $110 or more (no limit). xx

Heart Happiness – Masculine Valentine for Colour Inkspiration #25

Like
Like Love Haha Wow Sad Angry

After a short break, the Colour Inkspiration Crew is here to kick of Challenge 25! I love this fresh, striking colour combination -Lemon LIme Twist, Night of Navy, and Whisper White:

I thought this colour combination was suitable for the guys in our lives.  It’s almost Valentine’s Day, which is not a huge celebration in New Zealand, BUT no matter what day it is, it’s always appreciated to say I love you to someone dear. Or simply change this up to Happy Birthday or Happy Anniversary, etc.  All the images are from the new Heart Happiness stamp set.

While this card is clean and striking, there are a few little techniques here.

It’s subtle in the photo, but the glitter washi tape below the sentiment is coloured with the Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends. Yes you can use your Stampin’ Blends on washi tape, too!  Now you can have glitter washi tape in any of the Stampin’ Blends colours!

The card is not folded in half, so I’ve created something of an asymmetrical card so the Night of Navy embossed card on the inside shows on the outside when the card is closed. You can see this better below:

The smaller Night of Navy heart is both stamped off and “kissed” onto the floral image in the Heart Happiness stamp set to create this fun texture without being to frilly.

I hope you’ve enjoyed your stop at my blog here in New Zealand!  Remember you get a free SaleABration gift with every order of $110 or more! Check out the supply list below; there are many new products featured here from the new Occasions Catalogue.

Next stop: Narelle Farrugia!

Season Like Christmas in Vintage Gate Fold

Like
Like Love Haha Wow Sad Angry

I hope you are enjoying all the Christmas project ideas I’m sharing in my 12 Weeks of Christmas series!  It’s been fun to hear the responses and see what you’ve been making!

Today’s share is the project I taught at the recent Creative Inkers Christmas Extravaganzas using the versatile Season Like Christmas stamp set:

We had great fun teaching this one – so many techniques here and very rewarding to hear people please themselves with how easily this stamp set creates wonderful images!

This card is a gate fold card for something a little bit different and interesting.

And Crumb Cake, Basic Black, and Old Olive are certainly the trending colour combination this season!

Most everyone wanted to give this snowfall a try, and it’s pretty easy to do!  We used both Embossing Paste and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to create a textured, tactile, and super sparkling scene here.   It’s always good fun to give new things a try!

I love this project and I loved sharing it.  I know anyone receiving this card in the mail from someone would be so pleased!

Colour Inkspiration #21 – Flirty Flowers Pocket Card

Like
Like Love Haha Wow Sad Angry

Welcome to Colour Inkspiration Challenge #21!  You’ve landed in New Zealand at Jacque Williams’ blog! This fortnight we have a softer colour palette of Sahara Sand, Rose Red, PeekaBoo Peach, Soft Sky, and Pear Pizzazz:

My stamp set of choice this time is the Flirty Flowers:

All the colours are in there, even if just in a tiny quantity.  I must admit I used Berry Burst instead of the Rose Red simply because I needed a matching ribbon.  Both are excellent colours.

I chose to make another version of my Pocket Card, which is a great one for something a bit different and to feature the clean lines of this stamp.

The PInewood Planks Embossing Folder adds a bit of texture in contrast to the soft colours and flowers.  Tuck in a gift voucher or a photo for a complete gift!

Colour Inspiration #20 – Orange Blossom Pop Up Card

Like
Like Love Haha Wow Sad Angry

Welcome to another Colour Inkspiration Crew Blog Hop!

This fortnight’s challenge is a rich colour combination in Calypso Coral, Cherry Cobbler, Dapper Denim, and Always Artichoke:

I love the picture that inspired this combination and took my inspiration directly from there:

The stamp set is Orange Blossom, one of those funny ones that just looks like black blobs in the catalogue, but when stamped in colour, it really comes to life!

One of my favorite things on this project is the Silver Foil done up faux punched tin style.  I’ve used the Quilt Top Embossing Folder backwards to create this effect.   I also used the new Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers to colour those pearls more of an Ivory than a stark white (Stampin’ Blends coming 1 November!).

And inside the card we have this fun and easy pop up detail, along with a warm colour inside.

I hope you’ve had fun here at my blog – next stop: Kelly Kent!

Merry Patterns in a Double Opening Card

Like
Like Love Haha Wow Sad Angry

Today’s share is another double opening or double front card. This time I have remade some leftover card kits from the Hamilton Quilt and Craft show, so some of you may recognize the inspiration here:

These candles are remarkably easy to line up and I love how the “fill” stamps come separately so it’s easy to add in different colours.  Here I’ve used Soft Sky and Rich Razzleberry.   The ribbon is Fresh Fig, but I felt the Fresh Fig ink was too close to the Basic Black outline, so I’ve used her daughter, Rich Razzleberry.

Open the card once for a happy greeting.  The pine boughs are stamped in Always Artichoke, a colour that is making a personal comeback. I like it’s “dullness” against these other, brighter colours.

That’s probably not the best word to use, and certainly not technical  . . .  but you know what I mean . . .

Open the card a second time for a little greeting and a place to add your own writing and maybe a family photo.

You may have noticed that Rich Razzleberry pearl on the front of the card.  So here’s a sneak peek – YES those awesome alcohol markers are coming back. New and improved!!

We don’t have a release date yet for customers; the only way to get them right now is to Join My Team before 15 October!

What a happy colour combination.

Now how to get this awesome, limited edition stamp set:   Host a workshop with me before the end of October, place a large order of $500 or more yourself,  or call a few friends and put your orders together to equal $500 or more. Not only will you get$50 to spend in hostess money, but you will receive this stamp set FREE on top!

I’m also having a Stamp A Stack (12 Christmas cards for $35) 28 October where you can use and qualify for this set, too!  Register HERE.

Christmas Quilt Spool Card

Like
Like Love Haha Wow Sad Angry

Happy Monday and today’s share is a card that can be used for Christmas or general – perfect for a fellow crafter or seamstress!   I give credit for the idea of this card to team member and friend, Rhonda Fawcett.  I thought it was just so stinking cute, being a seamstress myself.

On page 4 & 5 of the Holiday catalogue, you can find Quilted Christmas Suite (or see below), but don’t think this set is just for Christmas!  Other than the sentiments, this set is actually quite useful year round!

The shape of this spool card is made by using the Envelope Punch Board (makes 66 sizes of envelopes as well!) to create the little divets along the side.

Then simply embellish as you wish.  I’ve used the Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper along with the new Real Red Ribbon to create the “thread”.  This cute flower also comes in the die set.

Oh and this is the best part!

How adorable is that little needle and spool of thread??!  Those come in the die set as well.  I love them!

I have done up an awesome wall art with this set that I’ll share in a few weeks, too.

I think you’d find a use for this set year round!  Supply list below.

Thanks for stopping by!  Check out my classes this week HERE.
