Challenge Supplies this month were: Pretties Kit big Daisy, Bouquet Buttons, and Linen C__Documents and Settings_Elaine and Harold_Application Data_FUJIFILM_FinePixViewerS_Temp_0528-090041_DSCF0097 Thread.

After seeing the work these ladies have done, I am so inspired to use those big Daisies!

Elaine has dyed her flower a soft pink and used it to anchor the fun fold on this card.  And clever girl has used the Build a Brad leftover from last month for a nice centre.  It makes a nice focal point, but because of the monochromatic theme here, a very nice, soft look, too.  Even with the Pink Flamingo paper background.  Now there's talent!  🙂

C__Documents and Settings_Elaine and Harold_Application Data_FUJIFILM_FinePixViewerS_Temp_0528-090041_DSCF0102 Elaine's second card has a totally different look.  What a clever idea to put a button right in the middle of the Chocolate Chip flourish, something I would have not thought to do myself.  And again, Elaine has stamped onto the Windsor Knot papers left over from last month and also as the Baja Breeze strip behind the words.  It's just the right amount of colour to tie that button in nicely.

Beautiful work Elaine!

Creative Challenge 010 Welcome to another month of the Creative Team challenge!  This month each lady was given a Pretties Kit flower, some Bouquet buttons, and linen thread.

Isn't this beautiful!  Pam has dyed her flower here with the Really Rust stamp pad and then stamped over it again to give that realy cool design and colour depth.  I love how those flowers can be dyed to match any project!

The buttons are used for the flower centre here and also as an embellishment for visual weight.

I wouldn't have thought to pair the Bella Bleu papers with Really Rust, but don't you like it?

Thanks Pam!!

Our last Challenge Team artist for June – using Windsor Knot and the Build a Brad kits.

IMG_6810_edited-1 Tilly sent over three projects! She got busy!

The first card is a real cutie with a fun envelope-like fold, secured with an Old Olive ribbon.  She was very innovative and used those really tiny stamps from Short and Sweet on her Build A Brad.

Stamp is out onto the Windsor Knot dsp, and colour in with markers and the white gel pen.  Punch out with the 1/2 inch circle punch and adhere to the top of your brad.  Rather than using the clear dome that comes in the kit, Tilly chose to put a tiny crystal on top for the cherry.  Cute!

The next card uses a retired beach set that I adored for the short time we had it.  Now check out how Tilly has adhered the So Saffron Windsor Knot and the striped print together, with a torn edge in between.  She's then stamped on both layers to create the sand and water or sand and sky look.  How cool is that?!

The details with the circle punches and the ribbon is quite nice as well.

The last little treasure uses the Windsor Knot just as a peek of a mat, which is a very nice way to use stripes.  She's repeated the stripes in the Build A Brad placed in the corner.  I like the use of the white gel pen here, too, Tilly!

Our four artists have done such different and neat things with just a few pieces of the same Windsor Knot papers and Build A Brads.  Keep watching next month for the next installement!

Aren't these striking!

C__Documents and Settings_Elaine and Harold_Application Data_FUJIFILM_FinePixViewerS_Temp_0528-090041_DSCF0091 Elaine's take on June's Challenge Team supplies is two different cards with two different styles.  The first is quite clean and vivid, using emboss resist on So Saffron Card, which is quite clever.  Although that Windsor Knot paper can be interpreted as quite masculine, she's prettied it upw ith a bow and flowers.  The six brads and big bow add a great balance!

C__Documents and Settings_Elaine and Harold_Application Data_FUJIFILM_FinePixViewerS_Temp_0528-090041_DSCF0099 Her second project has more of a textured feel to it with lots of ink sponging and layering up of stamp images.   Elaine has roughed up the Windsor Knot here by tearing around the edges and then inking heavily with the Chocolate Chip, which really gives a nice look!

Thanks for sharing with us Elaine!

Please meet Pam Cregeen, one of the lovely volunteers for my Creative Challenge Team!

This month each team member received a couple of Build-A-Brads and a selection of Windsor Knot papers.  Check back each week during June to see how each team member interpreted her challenge!

Comments and cheers for these ladies is most welcome!

DSC00482 Pam has used here her beloved Office Accoutrements set – very nice Pam!  And I like how she's made the closure for a fun fold on this card.  Very creative!

I know many of you are waiting to hear how the weekend went!

IMG_6495_edited-1 First of all, it was a fantastic weekend and I am so glad that I ended up going over to the Gold Coast to compete.  I went with a fabulous team of Kiwi women, led by the gorgeous Ali Gascoigne.  It was really a neat thing to go as a group and to support one another.

Saturday was a huge competition for the Australian Natural Bodybuilding Federation with something like 160 participants.  I feel very honoured to have won third place in my Figure category as the women there were all so beautiful.

Sunday's competition was smaller and I was placed with a second place trophy and a fourth place medal in two categories.  The other ladies on the Kiwi team placed very well – you can see all the results at www.gofigure.co.nz.  Know that NZ was represented well over the weekend!

I felt good about both outcomes and mostly I feel good about acheiving my own personal goals.  What's next – I'm not sure.  I will mull it over with my most trusted advisor and decide next week what the next mountain will be.

I've just put a back shot on here because I don't want to be offensive to anyone.
The costumes are teeny weeny!!  If you want to see a few more, email me.

Thank you all for your loyal support and cheering me on when I want to collapse!  Now back to stamping!

Thank you, Annemarie, for this beautiful card!  Most special are the kind words of encouragement and support found inside.

Stampinupannemarie Now, we all know Annemarie for her love of pink – which is a wonderful thing!  Pink shirts and pink cards are her "signature collection"!  I love pink, too, girlfriend, but am not a blonde beauty and can't carry it off nearly as well as you can!

I love this set, Upsy Daisy, so much that I not only bought, but also mounted two sets!  Oh, well, I'm sure I'm not the first mum to be a bit scatter-brained!

I love the layout of this project as well – can you see the possibilities here?  You only need three shades of cardstock and one ink to recreate this effective design.
