Birthday Cards

For all my Loyal Fans . .

I know many of you are waiting to hear how the weekend went!

IMG_6495_edited-1 First of all, it was a fantastic weekend and I am so glad that I ended up going over to the Gold Coast to compete.  I went with a fabulous team of Kiwi women, led by the gorgeous Ali Gascoigne.  It was really a neat thing to go as a group and to support one another.

Saturday was a huge competition for the Australian Natural Bodybuilding Federation with something like 160 participants.  I feel very honoured to have won third place in my Figure category as the women there were all so beautiful.

Sunday's competition was smaller and I was placed with a second place trophy and a fourth place medal in two categories.  The other ladies on the Kiwi team placed very well – you can see all the results at  Know that NZ was represented well over the weekend!

I felt good about both outcomes and mostly I feel good about acheiving my own personal goals.  What's next – I'm not sure.  I will mull it over with my most trusted advisor and decide next week what the next mountain will be.

I've just put a back shot on here because I don't want to be offensive to anyone.
The costumes are teeny weeny!!  If you want to see a few more, email me.

Thank you all for your loyal support and cheering me on when I want to collapse!  Now back to stamping!

Thank you, Annemarie, for this beautiful card!  Most special are the kind words of encouragement and support found inside.

Stampinupannemarie Now, we all know Annemarie for her love of pink – which is a wonderful thing!  Pink shirts and pink cards are her "signature collection"!  I love pink, too, girlfriend, but am not a blonde beauty and can't carry it off nearly as well as you can!

I love this set, Upsy Daisy, so much that I not only bought, but also mounted two sets!  Oh, well, I'm sure I'm not the first mum to be a bit scatter-brained!

I love the layout of this project as well – can you see the possibilities here?  You only need three shades of cardstock and one ink to recreate this effective design.

{A Very Special Weekend}

Like Love Haha Wow Sad Angry

Thank you to all my customers, my Stampin Up team, friends, and family for making this last year so fun and rewarding.  I met all of my goals for the year and thank each of you Jacque Patrice for playing your role in that success.  I am well aware I could not be the person I am without you!

And  big congratulations to my team who have also achieved their own goals with special recognition to Karen Rogers, Rachael Knight, Dennise Cranfield, Pauline McArdle, Leanne Masters, Patrice Halliday-Larson, Tracee Jones, and Kelly Chase for being called up on stage for outstanding achievement.

{To Distract Them from Fighting . . .}

As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, each year I face loads of retired stamp sets and kits that I must sell off or give away.

Stampinupcontest This week my three daughters have found ample opportunity to get on each others' nerves.

Combining my two aggravations:  each afternoon I have given them a baggie of a leftover kit or bits and pieces.  Their challenge is to make something of their choice using what's in the bag and a few tools.

Sofie (6) created the Always card, Madeleine (10) made the Berry Bliss card, and Kjirsti (8) made the always looong card.

I thought they all did well, but Sofie surprised me at HOW well!  She got the m&m for the day.  Which one would you pick?

{Eastern Blooms Week!}

Like Love Haha Wow Sad Angry

Stampinupeasternblooms This week I'd like to focus in on the stamp set Eastern Blooms.  Let's start with this sample, sent to me by the Stampin' Up country manager, Emma.  I think she made it, but not certain.  She may be too busy with desk stuff to do the fun stuff!

This card features three of the new colours, Baja Breeze, Tangerine Tango, and Kiwi Kiss.  Do you love them?  I wasn't so sure about that Kiwi Kiss at first, but I think it will be a well-used colour after all!  I think it will go on my favourites list this year.

So Emma has used the Eastern Blooms set here as both a background and a focal image with a Rhinestone brad.  Nice!

Stamps:  Eastern Blooms (46.95), Really Retro (28.95)

Colours: Baja Breeze, Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss

Other:  Kiwi Kiss Ribbon, linen thread, circle punch, rhinestone brad, mat pack

{Fabulous New Die Cut Stamp Sets!}

Like Love Haha Wow Sad Angry

Wonderful news for Stampin' Up! demonstrators and customers today!

Transition to Die-Cut Stamp Sets with the New Catalogue
31 March 2009

We are excited to announce that with the release of the 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalogue on 1 April, we will be transitioning to all die-cut stamp sets! We know that both demonstrators and customers have enjoyed the ease of mounting these types of sets, and we’re thrilled to be able to offer these sets to you in more than just the mini catalogues.

Please be aware that we’ve set up a process to transition from square-cut to die-cut with those sets that we are carrying over from the 2008-2009 Idea Book & Catalogue to the new 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalogue. We will continue to fill orders with the carryover square-cut sets until our inventory runs out.

What about the Costs for the New Die-Cut Sets?

Fortunately, with this transition to all die-cut sets, you will not see an increase in price for die-cut sets in the catalogue. So the price you pay for the square-cut sets is the same price you will pay for the die-cut sets.
