Colour Inkspiration #21 – Flirty Flowers Pocket Card

Welcome to Colour Inkspiration Challenge #21!  You’ve landed in New Zealand at Jacque Williams’ blog! This fortnight we have a softer colour palette of Sahara Sand, Rose Red, PeekaBoo Peach, Soft Sky, and Pear Pizzazz:

My stamp set of choice this time is the Flirty Flowers:

All the colours are in there, even if just in a tiny quantity.  I must admit I used Berry Burst instead of the Rose Red simply because I needed a matching ribbon.  Both are excellent colours.

I chose to make another version of my Pocket Card, which is a great one for something a bit different and to feature the clean lines of this stamp.

The PInewood Planks Embossing Folder adds a bit of texture in contrast to the soft colours and flowers.  Tuck in a gift voucher or a photo for a complete gift!

Auckland Extravaganza Project Parade

Hi friends! So this post is a long time in coming, but today’s share is four of the five projects we taught at the July Auckland Extravaganza!

To register for our upcoming Christmas Extravaganzas, please click HERE.

Paula Reid, Sally Williams, and Michelle Pepper taught this masculine gift voucher card, perfect for a thank you or a birthday (or Father’s Day as above). They used the One Wild Ride stamp set paired with Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide.

Angela Palmer, Kathryn Tyrrell, and Kylie Burke shared a gift item by adapting the Wood Crate die for a little basket for holding notes and scrap paper for the desk.  Cute!

Rachael Knight, Judith Ferguson, and Christine Gedye taught a pull up/ tag card featuring the You Move Me bundle. It’s hard to photograph, but the butterfly appears to flutter the wings when the tag is pulled up.  This is great for something a bit different!

And Barbara Bicknell’s team went out of the box and taught a fun lollipop for the top of a gift or a cake or for table decor!

Colour Inspiration #20 – Orange Blossom Pop Up Card

Like

Welcome to another Colour Inkspiration Crew Blog Hop!

This fortnight’s challenge is a rich colour combination in Calypso Coral, Cherry Cobbler, Dapper Denim, and Always Artichoke:

I love the picture that inspired this combination and took my inspiration directly from there:

The stamp set is Orange Blossom, one of those funny ones that just looks like black blobs in the catalogue, but when stamped in colour, it really comes to life!

One of my favorite things on this project is the Silver Foil done up faux punched tin style.  I’ve used the Quilt Top Embossing Folder backwards to create this effect.   I also used the new Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers to colour those pearls more of an Ivory than a stark white (Stampin’ Blends coming 1 November!).

And inside the card we have this fun and easy pop up detail, along with a warm colour inside.

I hope you’ve had fun here at my blog – next stop: Kelly Kent!

Wow time flies sometimes!  It’s almost time for our Christmas Extravaganzas, and today’s share are a few of the projects from the Hamilton Extravaganza in July:

Rayleen Baker and Irene Wardlaw presented this very fun and cute Flag Card project featuring both Lemon Lime Twist and the  This Little Piggy stamp set.  Such an easy idea and so effective!

Kristine McNickle shared this lovely box with the group, using both metallics and the Happy Birthday, Gorgeous stamp set.  A nice box for an upcoming birthday!

Kay Syminton and Jenny Sutton taught this double pull-up project, using the ever popular Colorful Seasons suite.   Who doesn’t just adore this little deck chair?!

I shared a blue version of this project some weeks back, but I had a few leftover kits so I made up a little set with complimenting colours using the Seasonal Layers Thinlit Dies:

I intend to bundle these together using the Acetate Card Boxes, and gift these to someone special for an upcoming birthday.

The Acetate Card Boxes are GREAT to have on hand for a useful, universal gift.  Just about anyone could use a few birthday cards, and it’s something made from the heart.  These boxes just package them up so professionally.

Shopping list below.

Would you like a stash of Christmas cards ready to go?  Join me at my annual Christmas Stamp-A-Stack 28 October!  Drop in between 10-4pm and spend a few hours making 12 Christmas cards for the holiday season.  $35 includes 12 card kits, drinks, and a prize draw for anyone placing an order on the day!   Register via email.
